It's Slave I style!

Oi that's quite the passive agressive post. Watching the stream he is exploring but he's not finding many interesting things. He also didn't go in expecting or necessarily wanting a heavily multiplayer experience

Hm, well I didn't mean for it to come across like that. I didn't watch his stream from the beginning and I had to stop watching for some time, but the part I watched he stressed how much more he'd enjoy it if it were a multiplayer game.

Watching again now and he is doing more exploring, and I laughed a lot at the bug he found blasting through that wall. Again, what he finds uninteresting, I find interesting.

Wait, so you can't crash? Guywhohatesthegame was just barreling straight toward a planet, went to get a beer, and the game pulled his ship up and coasted along the terrain for him until he got back...that's, umm, interesting.

I'm not really sure I'd say that blends together well. It just looks like a fucked up stegosaurus. I've seen some pretty cool stuff though. That's procedural for you!
Honestly that one is one of the first creatures that made me see it as "alien". Made me pause and take a second to comprehend its appearance.

Could this be one of the balancing things Sean and the team was mentioning? He was quite vocal about the game being challenging and exploring weird places mean more because it was hard to get there.

Well looking back at the previews one journalist died twice in his brief playthrough, another encountered a death world of 750°C.

I haven't seen anything like this. I mean, has anyone even got beyond wanted level 1?

I really hope there is a harder mode :/ I saw quite a bit of streams so far, and nobody was ever close of dying.

This, I want to land on a planet that keeps me on my toes, and hopefully when you get level 5 wanted level the sentinels get more difficult.

They are tough as hell. They bring in like giant walker guys. There are harsh planets out there, just think they arent the norm.

Wow i had to click off his stream, he sounds way to bitter. He complains that the game has too many bugs yet does not realise his playing a Pre-day 1 patch game.

Yep. Seems like he was biased going into it. Oh well. I'll just mute him and check back here and there to see the clear footage.

If you want harder mode attack trader ships in space to steal their loot, You will get blasted in moments. Live the life of a space pirate and mod your ship to have mostly weapon upgrades rather than storage. Then see how far you get.

As sean said you can do whatever you want in this game. We however are only seeing streamers that are playing by the rules.

Has any of the streamers played around with hacking? Or found computers in places? Have we seen sentinels beyond the known three types? Or what having sentinel allies as hinted in the trailer?

Yeah being a space pirate is actually the plan lol.
But I still want to explore every planet in the system im in lol.

Nah, he knew nothing about the game other than that it involved space exploration. Sounds like you're just disappointed he's not showering it with praise.

He was one of the few people into went into the game with no expectations.

For the hour+ I watched of it, I appreciated he didn't have rose tinted glasses on to be honest. I still don't have a major opinion of the game, but was interesting to see someone play it that didn't hype it up beyond what he was experiencing.

So, the pre-order bonus is a ship. BUT, I'm assuming it's not all maxed out and shit. So, won't I just be tossing it within the first hour or so for a better one? What's the incentive there?

Well, you get a thing whether you toss it in an hour or not. If you were going to buy it anyways, it's alright. If you weren't then I wouldn't.

See shit like that would be cool. "Okay I can't be here yet, back to the ship!"

Fair enough. I only caught a few minutes of the end and he sounded bored. Then I went on GAF to see if anyone was talking about the stream. Someone said he was doing a lot of complaining, so I assumed that perhaps he was one sided.. I'm fine with criticism, but at the point I started it sounded like he was just plain uninterested. And if he got to that point after play for an hour or two, cool. I'd be more interested in seeing it from the beginning now that I know.

Are ships procedural as well or are they hand crafted? Is everything procedural in this game except weapons?

Every ship procedural

Not sure about weapons but given everything else is based on the procedural editor shown above i dont see why weapons wouldnt be.

Welp.

Then how is the pre-order in any way valid?
Haha I know, right? That's exactly what I was saying earlier. Like someone said though, when you swap it for a new one, it'll p much always be slightly better. SO since the pre order ship is supposed to be an already slightly better ship than the default starter, you get sort of a head start I suppose.

Yeah thats exactly it. It's for the head start. If you don't want it, you can uninstall the dlc.

Eh. I'm going to be in the "on vacation during launch" club so I'll probably just buy it when I get back and skip the pre-order.

Honestly, I'm glad they didn't do anything too crazy for the pre order bonus crap. It seems like it could have majorly contradicted the whole point of the game. I think the "initial boost" of a pre-upgraded starting ship is a good balance. Pleases the suits and maintains the vision.

Just walked into 0100100100010 or whatevers stream and was like ahhhh the fuck!!! And backced out. He was in something I hadnt seen and it looked cool as fuck...

010101010 is on a planet now that looks to have zero life on it. It looks pretty cool too.

Yup. No life. First planet I seen with no life. Except for an NPC in an outpost.

He is still live? o_O I went to bed when he was still live and fully expected Twitch to ban him while I slept.
