No Man's Sky Spoiler Thread

The aquatic life bug:

He was asked on reddit and he said that yes, there are more galaxies.

I meant the "starting in a new galaxy" part. Sean confirmed there were multiple galaxies before. It's just that people have said the center will whisk you to another galaxy and this guy has been to the center so this would either mean this isn't true or we can freely move between galaxies. I guess we'll see, doesn't matter either way tbh

When you die you can return to your grave - marked "Your Grave" with the No Man's Sky logo floating in thin air - and pick up your stuff.

One thing just observed - guy on stream trying to crash his ship, he can't. It always redirects you away from ground. There is also always a prompt at bottom right hand side of screen telling you what to do next.

Yea, there's a invisible wall on all planets preventing ship crashes and flying too low. You can only land using the auto-land button.

Multiple galaxies confirmed.

He didn't say what happens at the centre but you start in a new galaxy.

So he has only been to the centre of one galaxy.

He also confirmed you can't actually multiple save and that if you want to stay in your galaxy, you better backup your save before you jump to the center.

I am watching Daymeeuhn's stream, and he just gave a rough outline of his opinion on the game. From what I gathered, he believes the game is greater than the sum of its parts. He specifically mentioned that if you were to rate it in terms of combat, or trading he wouldn't rate it that high. Daymeeuhn said that core experience is exploring planets, finding resources and seeing new animals. He said in that regard the game is great, and it works quite well.

EDIT: From watching the stream you can tell the combat is quite bad, both on foot and in space. You constantly have to open your inventory to reload your gun or recharge your shields, which seems completely counter-intuitive.

Ah, now that's new.

How many different game saves can you have with a single account?

Can you start more than one game on a single account?

Multiple starting planets?

We need Daymeeuhn and the other streamer to meet up in the same Euclid galaxy.

Just to see what it looks like together.

He probably has the Hyperdrive to get around pretty fast now.

He's saying NG+ (new galaxy) doesn't seem to have a significant progression from NG from what he's seen so far, it just seems like more of the same. He says he's not sure.

The combat, crafting, npc interaction and flight sim is bad, but looking at randomly generated planets is good? I guess this game is a pretty neat visual experience, hype levels still there.

Hm, it's gotta make sense that every time you start in a new galaxy, it's a galaxy closer to the centre of the universe.

Most people will stop at the centre of the first galaxy but I believe that exists.

And I don't think Sean will ever confirmed or deny.

BELIEVE.

He's still finding new things in the first galaxy, I think it's a bit early to say there's nothing new going forward.

It's really strange how every space station gives you a suit inventory upgrade but there are no ways to upgrade your ship inventory.

Also Sean must have told Sony to back off the DMCAing or something because there's no way they would allow that stream otherwise.

To me it seems like more exploration of unknown planets but it does seem like more of the same... But who knows?

So basically the game is a glorified walking simulator but I'm perfectly okay with that. I was a little upset to hear that after going to the center and starting in a new galaxy allegedly resets all your equipment and ship stuff though. He said starting over so I'm assuming that's what he meant. I'm still looking forward to next Tuesdaaayyyyy!
