There are many speeds though. Warp, normal, etc.
Yeah of course but it's still a good metric for the scale. It's enormous!

Haha....garbage ship!
Fix your shit!
I think it is because this guys is playing the game like many here were envisioning. Making your own adventure and not just trying to blast through.
This quest to get his new ship up and running has been great.

Watching the stream, but muted.
Its exactly what I expected and wanted.
Yeah, the scale is massive, i can't wait to see youtube videos popping "how much does it take to walk around a no man's sky planet!? part 1 of 500"
Perusing the last couple pages, someone mentioned an underground cave with an alien lake and that just sounds awesome. More and more it seems that NMS is a game hard to explain, but easier to show.
He also needs suspension fluid to make another warp jump! But he ain't buying itWas there Heredium back on the planet? That's all he needs to have a fully operational ship now right?
Ah so he's going back for a round 2 on toxic-shit-puddle-moon.

?
I don't get the reference.
I've been watching Voyager again since my wife will watch it with me.Not watching at the moment. Leaving my office and heading home, but from the snippets I did hear and see. Ditto!
Watched Cosmos (reboot) all weekend, Oblivion, Europa Report, and been watching SG1 for the umpteenth time... on Season 8 now to alternate back and forth between Atlantis (which I still have no seen past 10 episodes into Season 1, I know, I know, was an SG1 diehard)... so excited to dive into that now... and before I know it. NMS will be here.
xD
On earth you'd need more than a year without ever stopping (just using earth's circumference as it was a simple sphere). Would be great to find that's exactly the time needed in NMS xD
Even a 1/100 of that would be mind-boggling.

Yep.
Is there a way to flag materials you need to make them easier to find? Like so they are highlighted on your map/hud?
Man I really want to see another NPC race other than Korvax.
From what i've seen materials are constantly highlighted with a colour code so you know exactly what they can be used for.
Yep.
So much hopping fruits in this galaxy.
NopeIs the FOV adjustable for the console versions?
I'm at a bbq right now, but I know that stressful feeling. There are so many things to do, I want the streamers to all do the thing I want them to do.JUST GET THE DAMN HEREDIUM
That's why I always felt the whole "there are no quests, no structure, etc." complaint here didn't hold much weight. There are quests, they're just player-driven. Instead being told "Find X resources to repair" or "Find shelter to escape cold", it happens organically. You have goals, they just stem from your own actions, situations, and discoveries,Pretty cool how this is basically a 'quest' but where in another game an NPC would give it to you, this dude just found a crashed ship and has decided to search for the necessary materials to repair and use it
Nope
Are these the only NPC anyone has come across so far?
