No Man's Sky Spoiler Thread

Yeah, the scale is massive, i can't wait to see youtube videos popping "how much does it take to walk around a no man's sky planet!? part 1 of 500"

Haha....garbage ship!

Fix your shit!

I think it is because this guys is playing the game like many here were envisioning. Making your own adventure and not just trying to blast through.

This quest to get his new ship up and running has been great.

Exactly, he isn't maxing as fast as possible he is enjoying his time, exploring and basically playing the game....it is the game everyone wanted to see, flaws and all

Working right now, someone recording this kenji stream or will it be archived on twitch? I saw yesterday's but I can't recall if they let it archive and is still watchable on twitch

Such a shame that a Prima Guide (style) book would probably never exist for this kind of game.

I would buy one so fast, and I never do that.

Right. Thats what personally I want. And its not reddit mans stupid explanations, its actual video we can watch and make our own decision over.

Perusing the last couple pages, someone mentioned an underground cave with an alien lake and that just sounds awesome. More and more it seems that NMS is a game hard to explain, but easier to show.

I hope he has past broadcasts enabled...

Watching the stream, but muted.

Its exactly what I expected and wanted.

Not watching at the moment. Leaving my office and heading home, but from the snippets I did hear and see. Ditto!

Watched Cosmos (reboot) all weekend, Oblivion, Europa Report, and been watching SG1 for the umpteenth time... on Season 8 now to alternate back and forth between Atlantis (which I still have no seen past 10 episodes into Season 1, I know, I know, was an SG1 diehard)... so excited to dive into that now... and before I know it. NMS will be here.

xD

On earth you'd need more than a year without ever stopping (just using earth's circumference as it was a simple sphere). Would be great to find that's exactly the time needed in NMS xD

Even a 1/100 of that would be mind-boggling.

wow, this planet creeps me out, that flying brain with tentacles... nope.

not to mention everything wants to kill you there.

I've been watching Voyager again since my wife will watch it with me.

Video kinda dives into it with maths.

Star Trek?

Yeah, the GF was begging me to watch Atlantis, since she watched it all and I was an SG1 geek. So the condition was SG1 from the beginning up to Season 8 and rotate based on this.

Is there a way to flag materials you need to make them easier to find? Like so they are highlighted on your map/hud?

From what i've seen materials are constantly highlighted with a colour code so you know exactly what they can be used for.

The only thing bugging me is how often they need to recharge their suits because they are always passively being weakened i.e radiation, temperature to cold or hot.

JUST GET THE DAMN HEREDIUM
I'm at a bbq right now, but I know that stressful feeling. There are so many things to do, I want the streamers to all do the thing I want them to do.

Fix your damn warp drive and find another system! Maybe one with dinosaurs and lots of green!!!!

Pretty cool how this is basically a 'quest' but where in another game an NPC would give it to you, this dude just found a crashed ship and has decided to search for the necessary materials to repair and use it
That's why I always felt the whole "there are no quests, no structure, etc." complaint here didn't hold much weight. There are quests, they're just player-driven. Instead being told "Find X resources to repair" or "Find shelter to escape cold", it happens organically. You have goals, they just stem from your own actions, situations, and discoveries,
