No Man's Sky Spoiler Thread

There are definitely things that are bugged and broken, but that's all a patch is gonna do. Fix bugs. There is nothing in the game shown at streams that is "held back" in anticipation of the Day 1 patch.

Maybe that's why they're waiting to give review copies mainly on release day. Because they're want the patch to be out before they review the game

My intention is to go into this game assuming that the retail version we get at launch will be the final version. That being said, HG and Sean from what I've read or watched seem very committed to supporting this game post launch, already apparently working on Update 1 for NMS. Exactly how big an update is or how long it takes, I'm not sure, but the idea of the game continuing to grow over time and be fleshed out is an exciting prospect.

Also, is there any way to lose everything and basically force restart yourself? Dying doesn't do something quite that extreme from what I understand.

Most of them from Kangi were that kind of dusty yellow-green color, up to maybe a greenish teal. But then again he only landed on what? 4 - 6 planets or something?

Maybe less.

The last, long part of the stream has been going on around two planets and a moon (or a couple of moons). So yeah, 4-6 planets max.

What a ride anyway! I can see where it could get repetitive, but damn. If you get bored you can always jump into orbit and fly away.

Can someone sum up the last 48 hours of what people know about this game. Sorry I haven't been able to track this thread and the streams

I really want to know if my GTX1070 can make any difference in texture quality, draw distance,AF,AA etc.If there is no big difference between two i might just get the PS4 version for playing early.Since the game takes only 6gb i don't think we can see better textures but better AA,AF and draw distance can make huge difference.

It's sad that i didn't hear a single word about PC version.

I wasn't able to grab the screenshot when he was done analysing it, but IIRC it's an herbivore. Still freakish big.

Now, something a little spoilerish, even for a spoiler thread.

Originally it was understood that if you died in your ship in space you'd lose it, but not sure if that was changed.

AA and AF should be a given since at worst we can force them one way or another.

Draw distance I don't know. It's going to be a cpu-bound game, hopefully it will take advantage of the vast difference in power between consoles and pc.

Hopefully FOV slider too.

Anyway I guess that we'll be able to edit quite a few things.

EDIT: let's see what this attention-whore is up to on the stream. He even put up a countdown.

I have a hard time believing it couldn't do better AA and AF. You should be able to inject it if they don't give you the option. And you should be able to downsample too. The nature of the game means that it should be processor intensive (i think) rather than gpu intensive, so you may as well run at 4K. It really doesn't look like a 1070 would have an issue with that.

Yeah I don't mind watching exploration but I bailed when he said he was going to show what he was.

I think that's it for me til the OT.

I thought this guy started again in a new galaxy? How is he going to places he has visited before?

That was never confirmed I think, plus we have no idea what's at the center yet cause he said he isn't gonna spoil it. People have been assuming what's at the center based on things Sean have said (like a black hole or something)

Unless someone else spoiled the center besides this guy

So this is how he got to the centre to quickly...

Jump to an atlas Station and gets free warp cells ( startship fuel), he then uses the fuel to jump to a black hole which acts as an accelerated hyperdrive and sends him forward 700million lightyears towards the center to the galaxy, rinse and repeat and in no time you get to the center to the galaxy

SOMEONE SHARE THE SPOILERS I CANT WATCH ATM

Pretty please?

he showed how to reach the center very fast, showd an Atlas station, which is the 4th alien race, and saying its an exploration game and not really a shooting or space sim

its kind of an artsy game, like flower

He was asked on reddit and he said that yes, there are more galaxies.

"You're not supposed to rate it what it is! You're supposed to rate it what it's supposed to be!"

Aight...?

This really sounds like a bug, though. Especially with all the suit upgrades etc. I think you are only supposed to enter an Atlas station freely once.
