No One is Asking for VR....but it's Selling Pretty Good Today

Get yourself an ugly girl that tries her hardest to please you and boot up VR porn.

See how that changes your life.

This is the sole main reason VR still exists and sold out, perfect pron gadget for virgins that don't know what fresh air is. 🤭😅😅🤣😂 j/k

Happy MS ditched it for next gen and not capping the system with unnecessary plugs. When the tech is fully utilized and part of the household like consoles....The NEXT peanut butter and jelly..why not, worth a shot.

..that'll never happen, not in our lifetime. Facts. Just like the next big thing, 3dtv 🤭🤭🤭where it's at now?!

To ppl that enjoy this tech I salute you 🤜🔥🤛🙏

As someone who grew up playing competitive shooters on PC and console, VR is already here. You just need to try the top tier devices. Sure it'll improve, but everything does. Playing AAA games on high end VR is next level shit, now.

This Christmas influx hss been great. I know it's no real indication, but reddit's VR boards have several "I just bought Rift/Quest/PSVR!" posts every day.

Also according to Polish Paul, 6.2 million PSN accounts have logged PSVR use, yeah some of those are multi-account users but still a pretty big number and wouldn't be surprising if PSVR has surpassed 5 million headsets sold already.

I don't understand the thought process. I get that they underestimated demand, but come on.

Is there any actual numbers on sold VR-headsets?

It could be the nr1 selling on Amazon or any other website for 10 years OR sold out in store X and it still doesn't mean jack shit unless we know the numbers.

A lot of money was invested in this technology and companies want to at least break even.
But after Half Life the sales will die down again, imo.

According to Sony they've sold 5m VR to a 106m install base. In other words, 4.7% of PS4 owners have VR.

I see why MS won't bother with it for now. I guess it's selling okay but 95% of gamers don't care about it.

I wouldn't estimate that 95% don't care based on those figures, but would agree that there is a barrier to purchase for those 95%

Wired, clutter, poor IQ/Resolution, price, all of these could be factors are to why people haven't bought it. Say 20% of the user base were held back by these issues, when these are resolved you will see a huge jump in VR numbers.

i bet that PSVR Keep selling in PS5, the power of PS5 will bring more AAA games/ports to PSVR, the main thing that is holding PSVR back is PS4 power.
Gran Turismo 7 with full PSVR support and those units start to fly off the shelves.

Valve has two more AAA games coming after that confirmed, and by the time that happens, VR will just cheaper, smaller, and more powerful.

And completely unrelated to the post above with the Index being sold out...

Another headset, the Quest availability is march now. Unprecedented to have two major headsets like this sold out at the same time for so long.

I could barely understand artificially creating demand angle before, but why would they shoot themselves in the foot through March? That's when Half Life comes out.
