Camilla also beat Lyn in the last FE Heroes voting gauntlet. Before being beat by Ike of course.
Pretty sure Lyn beat everyone unless you combined Ike's voted from Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn...

They mean the Heroes mobile game mode. Not the Heroes pollPretty sure Lyn beat everyone unless you combined Ike's voted from Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn...

Lol... Same for some reason I though the season pass would be 40bucks but then again that's how much the whole game will cost on 3DS.
20 bucks isn't that bad compared to other season pass prices.

Don't really get the hype for Alm. They already gave Celica Marth's moveset. They'd just do the same with Alm.
He pretty much has 0 appeal outside of Kyle McCarley's amazing voice.
And I guess TWIN LIONS.
But seriously, the "we need Alm because Celica's is in" posts are strange. I know Echoes conditioned most players into thinking otherwise, but Celica can stand on her own.
I disagree. It isn't about Celica standing on her own, it is about the game being the story of both and not only Celica. It is like adding only Ephraim in the game, or only adding Lyn(That they already did).
They even used the same argument to add Lissa in the game.

I'd be ok with Alm because Alm is one of the more interesting protagonists in the series, IMO. Design wise and personality wise. He's not a total vanilla hero like Marth, Eliwood, Roy etc. or a gung-ho hotblooded hero like Hector, Ike etc. He's a pragmatic yet noble person, more down to earth than usual. I mean, he's not super exceptional, especially compared to other fantasy protagonists, but for a Fire Emblem lead, he's different enough. His emerald hair is cool too.
Ephraim is really my top choice for this game, mainly due to his badass fighting style that's different from other heroes, and then Hector for the same reason. But I highly, highly doubt either character will get in, and we'll get Roy and Ike as DLC characters outside of the three main games being featured, if we get any more at all.
I don't fully disagree with your sentiment, but none of what made Alm good (noted humble personality, goofy puns, etc) would translate into this game. Purely from a moveset perspective he's just another sword guy... a left-handed sword guy, but nonetheless still a sword guy. There's nothing that makes him more deserving than Hector/Ephraim, and Celica's inclusion isn't really an excuse.
Yes, Alm would be near the bottom of the list that people that probably should have made this game, and that includes characters from fates/awakening/shadow dragon. That there's such odd omissions even from those games is kinda funny.
I just wish Fates hadn't had so many damn family members, lol. That's complicating everything because they have to bring all of them every time.

The fates family members really annoys me, because nobody makes a big deal about say Emmeryn, Elice, Lissa, Mist (although she's not a princess), Ethlyn, or Altena (sigggghhhh).
The only other "sister" character that was a big deal was Eirika before this, and I guess Julia but Julia's a special case.
They honestly didn't need to add every single member of the Fates fam. The fact they're all in is good for people who liked them (and I did) but it cost such a massive part of the roster, I can't help but look at the Fates section with a bit of disdain.
The game's roster is too indulgent for its own good.

I think there's always a focus on a "core cast". That can be bigger or smaller depending on the game, but you can always tell which characters are the focus because they stay relevant throughout the entire game even though there's permadeath. Or just due to promotion. Basically it's, "who is on the boxart". For Sacred stones, that's just Ephriam and Erika. For PoR, it's arguably Ike, Soren, Titania, & Mist. For SD, it's Marth, Caeda, and Tiki. (maybe jaegan, but that's just due to the archetype being so well known by the fanbase). For Fates it's prominently both royal families.
.
PoR they bumped up Elincia, she gets the number 2 slot next to Ike in Cipher for example, while the rest of the characters are done in the order they are introduced in the game (if they didn't get skipped).
Awakening is different as well as like the box art doesn't have the important characters in the cast, and hell the fated lord Waifu (Sumia) gets dumped on all the time.
I expect those characters to be part of those paid DLC's but I hope I am wrong. Some spoilers due to people getting the game early.Owain and Niles are in at least as NPCs. Niles has an intro animation. Navarre is probably in the same boat as them. I've also heard rumors about Camus and Oboro. Hopefully they're either secret characters or free DLC ala the Hyrule Warriors villains.

Yup.I mean it's a classic in my eyes.
Saved the series and is a good game.
