Wasn't the sticker on that TV like $300-$400 though?
Is that an exclusive? I won't pretend to know the specifics of any deal, but it doesn't seem likely that it would impede on Sony advertisements unless they have movie rights that no one else does.

Madden is more popular but not by as much as you'd think. FIFA was a top 10 seller in 2014 in the U.S. a few steps behind Madden. FIFA is bigger in Europe but it's a juggernaut in the U.S. as well and soccer popularity is going nowhere but up.
I have it on good authority that this message has been relayed to all Xbox employees, there is tension in the air for sure.

After seeing UK sales I doubt. It's almost a PS4 exclusive, sales on XBO was just 22% and last gen 5%.
How many copies did Destiny sell? That fan base is nuts and to think Metal Gear has a walk in the park ahead of it seems odd to me.

Wii was like iPhone at times, and then, people woke up or something. That has yet to happen with Apple lol.
The Phantom Pain has had the best debut in the franchise in almost every reported market, & in the UK the PS4 SKU alone had the best debut for the franchise. The US will not be the exception, especially with the XB1 SKU potentially selling about ~20% additional units.

Yeah, the timing of the launches really makes intergenerational comps screwy.
For PS4, Xone and Wii U 2015 your comp years are 2007 for the X360, 2008 for the PS3 and 2009 for the Wii.
But not so in 2009... the proper comp year lol.

I'm a huge Until Dawn fan too and happy to see it chart, but you guys should really cool down the "lets see how it does next month".
MGSV, Disney Infinity, Mad Max, FIFA, Super Mario, Forza will probably all enter the chart. A lot of the games that have been hanging around on that chart for a few months are gonna get obliterated in the next NPD, never mind a low key title like UD.

3 million, There's no way the expansion even comes close to that number.
Destiny still has until like the third of October and I assume expansions are more front loaded than a normal release. Digital could be an issue though, I hadn't thought of that.
Destiny had 16 million registered users back in February. It's easy to see how most of the people buying the expansion will be there day one, for obvious reasons.

Metal Gear Solid V first week ( only PS4): 122,000
Metal Gear Solid IV sold 995,000 in 2 weeks in June 2008...
With 5 platform... 5 weeks... and PS4 version that in UK sold more than the PS3 version...
1,000,000 is too low. maybe under 1.5 million, but like i said, over 1.5 million is more likely.
They announced another bundle for October at the same price.

Wii was sold out for two years straight and didn't really normalize until nearly the forth year. it wasnt exactly limping at the end of its life cycle it merely reached market saturation faster than anything before. Still didn't stop Nintendo shareholders from crying because they wanted the money train to never stop and so nintendo rushed out the half baked wii u.
I thought Until Dawn was the type of game that would get negatively impacted by YouTube, but apparently not. I wonder if the number of games coming out this fall will be enough to knock GTA V out of the top ten as a full priced game. That thing is going to easily top sixty million before any widespread price reduction, which is unbelievable.

what did software sales look like though?
I believe in 1.5m. 2m is out of question with poor XBO version sales.
I don't have inside info, but I'm guessing they make a pretty good margin on Amiibos.
