I have no idea about postage to Finland, but please don't look up pricing on Amazon

Any non founders edition cards in stock?
Yeah but the top tier cards are normally like this. You pay a premium for the best card at that time. Thats why normally the XX70s, XX80s are normally better sellers. Still strong cards but you dont have to pay a mortgage payment to get one.
EVGA tweeted that they have 1070 FE in stock.
Nope.
Is this a case where the custom cards are paper launched? My friend is going to be disappointed. His video card just died and is using on board for the moment. Going to have to break the bad news and this is how founders editions are bought.
I was thinking about replacing my 970 with a 1070... these prices are bumming me out (especially the CAD prices!).
How trustworthy is Hardware Canucks?
I want to believe in my Canadian brethren, but just want to be sure I'm reading something quality and balanced.
Also what kind of prices is 1070 at in diff countries? I can use US or CAD prices usually.

Looks like another week of playing Overwatch on integrated graphics for me. :-/
Hardware Canucks are excellent! They make great reviews and they have an awesome YouTube channel too!
founders editions in the UK are £399, or $572 US. That does include 20% sales tax,
in the US...
EVGA ACX 3.0 is $420
EVGA ACX 3.0 SC is $440 (rolls eyes)
no idea what the other cards are but probably just as ridiculous if not worse
I expect all of the others (FTW, Strix, Gaming X, G1, etc) to start at $460-$470 and go up from there
Thanks dudes.
That's way out of my price bracket lmao ^^

To anyone wondering about the Good < Better < Great thing, blame pricing.
Is there any reason to not pick the standard EVGA ACX 3.0 over the SC if I'm gonna overclock it anyway? It seems like clock speed is the only difference.
ok EVGA...

If the traditional budget brands of Gainward, KFA and Palit are coming in at 469-489... ayy
The prices don't 'seem' that outrageous to me. What is it, a £50 bump over the 970 launch price? Considering the performance increase, and the fact that you would need to spend a fair bit more to get a 980ti or Titan X and comparable grunt. Seems a good buy to me still even with the bump.

The 970 launched for £260 in the UK, the cheapest 1070 now is £400, with custom models costing even more - it's launching at 980 prices.
Titan X owners am cry.
And in two years it'll say "1070 owners am cry".
Because that's how it always is.
An OC'd custom cooler 970 could be had for $339 on release and was faster than a 780ti... This is a full $100 price hike for the same relative performance.
nvidia postulated a ~$70 difference. So how much cheaper will the non FE be?.....
You can buy one now.also whats so special about the FE's??
Except by then 1070 owners will have gotten 2 years of fantastic performance out of their cards, and will be happy to upgrade. The Titan X came out just over a year ago.
What the hell. So sc is 440 dollars but it's 430 pounds over here? That is just absurd.
It should be just over 300 pounds.
The US is paying $100 more for the 1070 so kinda £70-ish more in UK terms, which is about what we are paying more then. Still seems fair considering how good performance is compared to the 970, especially if custom card prices undercut the FE.
