LMAO, it's already faster than the Titan X, a video card that was $1000, for only $380 but that's still not good enough for you. I think you should probably quit PC gaming and just buy consoles.
And what is this garbage even?I think you should probably quit PC gaming and just buy consoles
Sorry if its been answered, but can we expect 1070's on sale tomorrow? More specifically, in the UK?
Looks like it'll either be an MSI or EVGA third party solution for me based on their excellent support. MSI already has a lot of options laid out but I haven't seen much EVGA news just yet so I haven't really decided on which one to go for.
If MSI it'll probably be the Armor card, I was thinking of the Sea Hawk as well but I don't think I want to bother with water cooling.
Msi is seriously overpriced and armor typically isn't anything special. I'd wait for some review of evga cards how their new cooler works.
Where did you bit it from. was it online store?
So are both afar and AIB cards releasing tomorrow or is it only FE cards?
Long time since upgrading, is my pc good enough for the 1070 or is there no point until I get better rig?
Intel Core i5 2500K @ 3.30GHz
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 686MHz
ASUS P8Z68-V GEN3
Upgrading from a 560ti
So if i wanting a constant 60fps+ at 1440p i should really go for the 1080, as the 1070 doesn't seem to always achieve over 60fps on modern games?
Hi guys, I have a I5 4590 will this be OK with this card or should I get a 970 when a bit cheaper instead? I have a cooler master elite 130 case. Currently got a GTX 960 2g card.
Thanks a lot.
4590 will be fine. What monitor do you have?
Personally I wouldn't get a 970 unless the used prices fall through the floor, and even at rock bottom prices the AMD 480 may be a better option as that should outperform the 970 for $199
I'm wondering the same thing. I want one of these cards, but I'm not willing to spend the $440 or whatever for the founders edition. Gimmie one of those $380 cards EVGA cards please.Anyone have guesses as to when we'll start seeing these at MSRP?
My GTX 970 isn't quite good enough for my Vive. <_<

Just grabbed a Gigabyte FE on US Amazon FYI guys

Hi, thanks for the reply. I play on my Sony Bravia kdl something 48" TV.
Also I'm in the UK so that card you mention could be around £150ish? That sounds pretty sweet!
Edit... Thinking about it I do like nividas features such as shadow play... Also their cards seem to run some games better? Any help would be great.
There's so little information about any of this, it's ridiculous.When/where are these going to be available?
Eagerly awaiting the 1070's to pop up on Amazon, Ebuyer etc. Just hope its not only the FE, otherwise I'm back to waiting!
1070 FE preorders were up on the US page earlier but have seen closed orders.
Overclockers UK just put a 1070 up for a brief moment and has since been taken down, people don't sound happy about the price. I'm guessing around £399
EDIT: £410 for a FE 1070, what a joke.

Pretty much all the FE cards were £410
Cheapest blower edition was £369 for KFA2, MSI same type was £380
All the 3rd party coolers started from £410 for cheapest and most were £430-£450 with Asus strix at £480 and a hybrid MSI seahawk at £550
I mean, we already knew the FE would cost 500€ in Europe (Germany here), didn't we? I remember reading a roundtable discussion on PCGames Hardware about it.
I was on the edge due to the smaller paycheck I got last month, but with these prices, there's really no question and I'll just wait for now. I don't really follow the GPU scene or anything, could the prices go down even a bit before 2017?

Oh, it's definitely a bullshit price, I just assumed we all already had that scoff/freakout last week, when the FE price was announced. It's still a complete bullshit price for a mid-tier card. Though if this article is correct:
http://www.hardwareluxx.de/index.ph...1070-founders-edition-ab-heute-im-handel.html
and the non-FE cards will be 419€ and up, that'd be more manageable, at least. Not ideal, since that's still 100€ more than what the 970 launch price was, and arguably the 970 was a better card than the 1070, when compared to their respective x80's.

It all depends on AMD, really. Otherwise there's zero reason for Nvidia to lower their prices. The NDA on AMD's new cards is in effect until June 29th, we'll know better after the independent benchmarks for those come out.
They will go down a bit in month after the Founders Editions are replaced. I'm definitely waiting too.
What a horrible business practice, but I guess the thirst is real so people are okay with paying more to get it first.
Prices will go down if there is less demand. So basically no.

Those cards won't compete with a 1070 performance wise, don't set yourself up for a disappointment.
AMD needs to start dropping some solid info on the 490 and quickly.
