I had a dream decades ago of a large oversized NES with a yellow sticker on the front that read "SUPER NINTENDO" in red lettering. True story.
Alas, no NX dreams so far. I guess I am not invested enough yet. I should get obsessed with these crazy NX threads and maybe the premonitions will come.

That's the problem. Nintendo can't even take a few second to acknowledge their fans and say "don't worry guys NX news is still coming before the years end" or something like that.
Yeah I've always felt like Nintendo has been the most out of touch gaming company out of nearly all the players. Never did understand the secrecy the company has with everything.

Not really. EuroGamer only said it was "Currently slated for September." Delays happen a lot in VideoGames. Other sources have always been on the October train.
The wait is excruciating though. At this point, I really wish they'd do a Square Enix and just upload a website with a countdown ticking. Even if it was months away, at least it would be a bonafide time scale.

My goodness, why are these not packed in free into every Nintendo system? They showcase almost all of the possible controls and future gameplay designs. Nintendo Land and WiiSports only showed off a handful of influences.
Warioware Touch took full advantage on the DS's touch controls, most of which had ideas that were borrowed till the end of the handheld's life cycle and beyond. Game & Wario had a mode called Taxi that had the same exact controls as Starfox Zero. That Taxi game was the worst use of the WiiU's controls. If games took after the sum of what Game and Wario had to offer, the Wii U gamepad would have been a major hit.
The NX needs a new Warioware because I can already guess what type of controllers and inventions they could come up with to showcase new styles of play. Warioware on DS influenced the end Andross moment in SFZ. If you look at the Dino dodge mini game, it is the exact idea but reused after 3 devices later.

I'm thinking NX will still have both a console and handheld form factor. Although I would've thought they would've released the console NX before the handheld NX.
And here I post my rebuttal of the interpretations of what Iwata said in 2013 and 2014 considering what the link says.

And then look at what he said in 2015 which is up for interpretation, making a hybrid to cover for Japanese and Overseas consumers at the same time? Or does multiple form factors of handheld and home console at launch in March 2017 supposedly solve this?

He said "currently" so they have plans I'm guessing to release multiple in the future.
Maybe the delay was to bring 2 units together at launch. A stand alone with console like functionalities, a powerful gamer console, and a bundle of the 2.

The thing is, they didn't know about what consumers wanted at the time. Now they got a better sense with the sales of the PS4. If they released only the handheld, the OS would seem only tailored to that one platform. They want to communicate that this API works on many.

Hard to believe people would mistake that for a Nintendo product, considering how shitty the d-pad and buttons look, and the whole thing just kinda looks like a mess. I guess the wait is putting a strain on everyone's minds.
(Seriously, isn't the actual NX supposed to be a portable...)
