The lighting has been that way the whole season

IMO, Lakers killing themselves with this pace...its nice that they found their balls or w/e, but they better knock down shots

The Cavs? Seriously? As in the Cleveland Cavaliers?

Seriously... The Cavs are barely beating the amputated Wizards. They'll get slaughtered as soon as they play a real opponent.

As for the Heat.... this is the result of those crazy '05-06 off-season trades. It really was built to win a championship for one and only one season. I honestly think if they kept their '04-05 team, they still would have won the championship last year and there wouldn't have been such a huge fall-off this year.

Also for props to Big Ben for finally earning his paycheck. I can honestly say he now deserves it, especially hitting those 4 free throws. The next series against the Pistons will be really interesting.

doesn't gus johnson do knick games?
He does radio w/ John Andariese. TV guys are Walt "Clyde" Frazier w/ Breen as the main guy. Kenny Smith does 20 games and is known for jinxing Marbury on a game-tying FT.

I hope the Heat loss isn't prophetic...

I think whoever wins the Detroit/Chicago series will be in the Finals.

That's not up for debate...particularly if it's Detroit. And Chicago would have incredible confidence if they can get by last year's (paper) champions AND Detroit in back to back rounds. But I think the Nets and Raptors match up well against them, as opposed to Detroit.

The Cavs don't scare me at all this year...every team left in the east could take them out to dinner. Hell, the Heat probably would've buried them in five. Tough luck for them that Chicago dropped down to the five spot instead of the Cavs.

I want to say I cannot believe the Heat lost this way. I'm stunned . . . I may not be a Heat fan but I know their coach and I've followed them from afar because of the ties the Knicks and Heat Have. I definitely thought this was going 6 and probably 7 if Heat lost but the have no one to blame for today. Turnovers, the 4th quarter meltdown, and after a year of playing these guys they still don't address guarding the shooters . . . pheeniks called it when Riles refused to play guys like Dorrell Wright and Co. minutes, younger guys who might actually I don't know, stay in front of a Ben Gordon and Luol Deng?

I know the situation is different, but this similar in a way to the 1995 Knicks where after Ewing missed the finger roll Riley faxed in his resignation. Think of it, O'Neal is a year older; Walker and Payton may be done; and this team needs to address the SF and PG positions. There's a reason this guy was called "Pat the Rat". I would be very careful if I was Heat management and make sure I kept tabs on Riles.

Riles, Walker, that douche Payton and possibly Zo are gone come next season.

Book it.

A year too late. I'm still stunned they won the title last year...thinking they could go back to back with an old team that was a year older and less hungry while having a target on their backs (see opening day vs the Bulls :lol) was just ridiculous to me.

Miami needed a Chris Webber-type addition...bringing in a long standing star player who hadn't won a ring but has a lot of respect throughout the league. That move has done wonders for Detroit.

well, i don't think the lakers have got a 14 point 4th quarter comeback in them. i just want to note for the record that when lamar had got the lead down to 8, smush parker killed the momentum by missing a 3, and that was probably the season right there. i don't know why kobe hasn't been attacking the basket -- couple easy hoops to end the 3rd.

can i also add that this is a horrible annouce team? I thought the job of a play by play guy was to call the game, not fellate steve nash at every opportunity.

At least you only get him once a week. Knicks fans have to listen to him give props to the other team every game.

Does Mike Breen still do that shit where he talks about a certain player's life and upbringing when he's doing play by play for the Knicks? Like John Doe was raised in a poor community and went through tough times growing up...blah blah blah.

Yeah he does that a bit but seemingly never for a Knick player.

holy crap after all these bullsh*t techs how does Kobe NOT get one? Kome is SCREAMING at these guys.

I don't want to sound like Kobe Bryant here, but why the heck doesn't Leandro Barbosa play soccer? He's a phenomenal athlete from Brazil. It just seems crazy to me. It's like seeing one of America's top athletes become a cyclist or ping pong player.
