ANGELS!!!

What a victory, man. Bourjos, Trumbo, and Conger. I really didn't expect to see these rookies so successful. Hopefully Trout will get some action this year, too.

I just want to say thank you to Manny Ramirez for helping me put a better close to my history paper on performance enhancing drugs in baseball!

Any recommendations for a paper title? I want to abuse the use of an asterisk if possible. Currently its "The Kings of Baseball*" but want something else lol.

Way to understand the rules of baseball. Mike Cameron was standing on home plate, all Suzuki has to do is make ANY contact with him and the call is automatic.
Way to not understand how the umpires actually called it.

Either way, not much made sense last night. Sox just looked as tired as I felt except for Lackey.

When is Grienke due back?

Also, I was reading about him and googled his wife who was Miss Daytona Beach 2008. Here she is with...Johnny Damon.

I smell a lucrative revenge film script with an epic pitcher/batter showdown for the film's climax!

He pitched his first rehab start last night. Roenicke figures two more then he will be back so it looks like the Cardinals series...which I am conveniently going to!

How 'bout them Braves! A winning streak!
The 9th inning:
Nate McLouth walks. Eric Hinske homers to right field. Martin Prado walks. Jason Heyward flies out to center field. Chipper Jones singles. Brian McCann singles, drives in Prado. Dan Uggla demolishes a ball for a 3-run home run to center field. Freddie Freeman hits ground-rule double to left field. Alex Gonzalez singles, drives in Freeman. Nate McLouth singles. Eric Hinske singles, Alex Gonzalez scores. Martin Prado grounds into double play to end inning.

Eight hits, two walks, eight runs.

First game in which Atlanta pinch hitters got a hit (0-24 until yesterday). First game in which the Atlanta number 9 hitter got a hit this year (0-56 until yesterday).

Looks like he pitched well too.

Jays fans, what are the expectations for when Morrow returns? I have him on the DL in my fantasy league and I know he is back to the bigs on Friday.

We Braves fans appreciate all the help from the Brewers. I am rooting for you all tonight. While the Braves tread water it is nice to see the Brewers on a streak. Hopefully we will meet in the playoffs. God Bless the Brewers!

I couldn't believe the score last night. I turned it on round the 7th inning to see the Crew destroying stuff. What have they done with the shitty Wolf?

Well, it was Brevard County (low A). If he didn't pitch well there would have been real cause for concern. 10 batters, 4 strike outs....35 pitches. HA! It looks like Greinke will start on Sunday in Nashville for the AAA Sounds. I am desperately trying to convince my wife it would be a great way to spend Easter.

A fancy ring inside a egg might do the trick.

Its like the Braves were embarrassed to hit and waited until the 9th inning of a game on the west coast when nobody is watching to do it. Thank heavens for day baseball today. Lots of good pitching matchups.

I love the Lookout Landing takes on games ...

"

Your Seattle Mariners fourth inning:

Ichiro groundball single
Ichiro steals 2nd
Ichiro steals 3rd
Figgins RBI groundball single
Figgins steals 2nd
Figgins reaches 3rd on error
Bradley RBI groundout

The top of the Mariners lineup only rarely goes according to plan, but when it goes according to plan, there is no more annoying top of the lineup in the league. When the top of the Mariners lineup goes according to plan, it's like playing your brother in a really stupid baseball video game.

Ceiling: 150 IP / 9 / 175 / 3.00 / 1.20
Over/Under: 130 IP / 7 / 135 / 3.60 / 1.30
Floor: Injury problems continue.

For comparison, May 30, 2010-Sep 3, 2010 (150 IP limit): 96 IP / 7 / 113 / 3.36 / 1.21

Reds better get their shit together before they go on the road to St. Louis and Milwaukee. Lost 8 of their last 12 because the starting pitching sucks ass and the offense is pressing. smh

Porcello on the mound today against Seattle. Had an ok game against Oakland his last outing and it'd be nice if he could put a couple good games in a row even if against terrible offenses (a terrible offense that got 13 on us last night). I'm worried the Tigers fucked this kid up good.

Damn. Justin Smoak's father passed away from lung cancer last night.

He'll be out for a bit and probably f'ed up for a while on his return. Just when he was starting to show a lot of promise. That stinks. Hope he is hanging in there.

The Mets inspire such unique vitriol amongst sportswriters in the city. :jakncoke

WFANers, is Francesa keeping his word to not talk Mets?

What else would he talk about?

No one goes on his show. Dude was talking Rangers at one point, hahahaha. He'll open with the Mets today no doubt.

Edit: Forgot about the Knicks....hahahahahaha. Guess that's the story of the day, lol NBA.

Feels bad, man.

The (Mississippi) Braves (AA) have placed starting pitcher Kenshin Kawakami on the disabled list with a right shoulder strain. KK gave up six earned runs in five innings during his last start on Sunday.

What is he getting? 7 million a year? Ah, well.

heh the braves apparently have only 2 pinch hits not 3. Since Hinske batted around in the 9th he isn't considered a pinch hitter anymore according to the rulebook.
@ajcbraves said:
Rule on pinch-hitter batting twice in inning, as explained by Baseball-Reference.com: "If a player acts as a pinch hitter and his team bats around in the inning, he may come to the plate a second time. The second (and subsequent) times he bats in the inning are not considered pinch-hitting appearances. "

sigh brewers

edit: damn, Heyward's babip is .170 this year. He had a .335 babip and .342 xbabip last season. Talk about being unlucky so far.
