Maybe he wasn't...

Francona was canned. Hale took him out with late 80s pitch count. Wtf.

Edit. My thunderbolt can handle to lackeys at once!

With Prado's home run off Kuroda, they now have 17 homers on the season. 15 of them are solo home runs.

Wow.

Also, glad to see that Heyward-to-#2 move everyone was crying about is working out so far. Heyward's not a #2 hitter. Never will be. How many times will you ask him to put a bunt down for Prado? Exactly.

It's been all of, what, 3 games?

Also, getting McClouth out of that spot was just as valuable.

Ellsbury was safe by a fucking mile. Interference my ass.

Way to understand the rules of baseball. Mike Cameron was standing on home plate, all Suzuki has to do is make ANY contact with him and the call is automatic.

yeah, linebrink had been pitching too well lately...time for a blow up

or maybe it's beachy's fault! that bum doesn't know how to win, send to mississippi along with kawakami!

I hear there's this pretty good pitcher in AAA named Stephen Marek. Yeah... it's too bad we're paying millions for a shitty relief pitcher, he could have had his shot.

Actually, the White Sox are paying over half of Linebrink's salary. He's making $5.5 million this year. The White Sox are paying $3.5 million.

So... we're paying millions for a shitty relief pitcher then?

According to my elementary math skills, that means the Braves are paying $2 million for him.

So, in essence... you're agreeing with me, somehow?

In a purely baseball context, $2 million isn't that much to cry over.
Well, first of all, lol White Sox. Second, the extra $1.6 million we'd have from using Marek instead could go a long way in filling other gaps in the team, via the bench, payroll flexibility for mid-season trades, etc.

lol, according to gameday, pitch 1 and 3 were strikes to McCann.
well pitch 1 was borderline but yeah 3 might have been a strike. But this ump has had a small zone all game though.

Also McCann is a catcher too. I think there was a article recently (beyond the boxscore maybe?) that said catchers tend to get more balls called or something.

who is this team and what did they do with my non walking 2011 braves

they still aren't getting anyone home, though

If they can make it to Mclouth, guaranteed in play (runs).
