Lester, 3-0 pitch on Abreu.
Was a strike.
Abreu tossed the bat and jogged halfway to first.
Ump pointed to dugout. For whatever reason.
Scioscia: What the fuck are you looking at me for!?
Walks to top step of dugout.
Tells ump to fuck off.
Abreu wiffs and then pop-out.

Crawford is terrible. Red Sox need to invent an injury for him so he can go on the 15day dl. So far it looks like he is another one of those guys who can't handle getting the big pay day.

Please take Figgins with him.

only caught the last 3 innings but nice win, amazing what 7 IP from a starter will do. Pelfrey seemed to be in and out of trouble but survived.

It has been great to see the pitching pick up, even though it's against two garbage teams. I think the real thing is that the offense has finally perked up. As soon as Bay comes back Wright sees more hittable pitches, and is driving the ball. Reyes, Wright, Beltran, Bay, Davis, that's a lot of serious MLB hitters almost all in a row.

Exams over forever, first game I get to go to all year, JMac hits a walkoff blast, about to head out for a California baseball trip.

Life is good.

He'll be fine. He has been hitting the ball hard, but nothing is falling in.

He is also a notoriously slow starter.

Bullpen was skating on some thin ice the last few innings but I'll take it! Decision to "start" Miguel Bautista paid off handsomely.
Indeed it did, good on McClellan for giving a solid showing. The pen's getting more comfortable it seems, I still think Boggs should close even though it's early. Seems Tony's pink eye is coming down too, that crap was nasty for a bit there.

lol Pirates why the hell you put a claim on Brandon Wood. Looks like we gave up on Josh Rodriguez as well and brought up Pedro Ciriaco

Miss Iowa only does one thing, but he does it well.

Wood is gonna start with u guys?

I dunno maybe. Although he'll probably just take the role of what Josh Rodriguez was. Man Brock Holt or Chase D'Arnaud or both need to hurry up and become ML ready friggin hot garbage SS's currently up

Lost in the deluge of runs...another unimpressive performance from Gallardo. That complete game sapped his powers.

He's got quite a bit of time to recharge, I don't think he starts again til next Wednesday or something.

Mets-age, Matt Harvey, first round pick for us last draft, has pitched 22 innings, struck out 27, giving up just one unearned run. Of the 14 hits he's giving up, only one has not been a single. Guy is looking good mite be time to send him to Triple AAA.
