Can we talk about Curtis Granderson for a second?

He's got to be one of the more impressive players this season.

.286 avg
41 RBIs
17 HRs

He's rocking lefties this season. This game he's already 3-for-4 with four RBIs and a HR. I mean, goddamn.

He's on pace to hit 50 homers and 125 rbis. Definitely the mvp front-runner, and i'm not biased at all.

Impressive numbers, but he's not even the best hitter in his division.

Is Bautista excluded because he's on PEDs or because he's not on the Yankees? Because his numbers fucking destroy Granderson's.

Lawrie yaaaaabuddy!

So how about those Mariners? I will laugh so hard if they win the division.

Call up Ackley, Send down Peguero, Call up Carp, Release or trade Jack Wilson for a bag of shit, ride pitching all the way down the mountain!

Or just trade Bedard at the deadline.

Oh and I'd laugh my fucking ass off too.

Also kill Figgins too.

Don't you toy with my emotions! ...In all seriousness, I think Texas has the best shot.

And get it together, League.

Where's Mike Carp gonna play? LF? Eh...

Granderson .415 wOBA, 2.8 WAR
Beastista .536 wOBA 4.8 WAR

Its not even close bro.

Who plays out there now? Peguero? You really feel more comfortable.

Dude is hitting .326 in Triple A and OPS over 1.000 ... Ackley is almost up to .900 OPS .... its time!

I'm not sure how I feel about Carp's defense.

It would be hilarious though if he did become a ~league average LFer, as if we hadn't already won the JJ Putz trade enough.

Wow, I feel for Guthrie. Dude gets an L, despite giving up 0 ER.

That's baseball.

You know what else is baseball? League leads the AL in saves, and the M's are half a game out of first.

M's win!!!!!

Epic Smoak. League leading AL in saves even with his shit luck in that small stretch of games.

Wooooooooooooo.

But seriously ... Carp with 15 HR's ... 12 in May .... .326 avg and OPS over 1.000 .... let em play LF he can't be any worse with the glove than Peguero ... and Franklin has range to make up for any Carp does not have.

Or at least call up Ackley and put Adam Kennedy in LF ... can't be worseeee!

Neither, it's because he plays on a Canadian team. Automatic disqualification.

Yes. Over and over. I've never ever liked him and when the M's signed him I was pissed. And then watching him be waste of space has made me dislike him even more.

Platoon of Peguero and Mike Wilson (though the latter has only played a handful of games there this season). Actually I wouldn't mind putting Ackley over in Left Field and keeping Adam K over at second, his bat is one of our best in the lineup.

It sucks that the year where Curtis Granderson completed himself as a player and is having the most epic possible season is the one in which Jose Bautista exists only as a concept within the hitting matrix and has long since transcended simple humanity with his RIDICULOUS, UNRELENTING POWER AND BATTING EYE.

Bautista is MVP. And maybe if we pay tribute, he'll spare us when he somehow improves.

It still looks like it is going to come down to Adrian and Jose. Granderson is having a crazy season, but he still isn't in the same breath.

EDIT: Bautista's OBP is .505.................................

EDITEDIT: Adrian also has about fifty more at bats as well. Still though.

Peguero just swings at anything remotely close to the strike zone. He needs more seasoning in Triple A. Carp is mashing in Triple A. He cannot be any worse a fielder than Peguero ... whenever a ball is hit to LF I have a mini-heart attack with Peguero out there.

Mike Carp is also a Lefty batter. Can still platoon him and Wilson. I think it would work better than the current tandem.

When I have kids I'm going to take them to the Pawtucket Red Sox games and tell them this is the same league the Pirates play in to save money.

There's a draft thingy going on on ESPN site, some lulzy picks already.

Longoria at 2
Pujols even being there... let alone 8
Heyward at 7... with Stanton nowhere in sight
Santana before Posey

If you were to build a franchise you would want a young position player. Not a pitcher.

Brian Matusz called up and is starting today!

Hopefully he starts off where he left off. And where he left off he was crushing the AL East. Although today he's against Seattle, which is in the West...um...

Too bad he has to tackle a giant for a win!

Ah, Pineda. Man, was hoping it was someone along the lines of Bartolo Colon pre-hghsteroidstemcellhorsetranquilizerjabbathehutttoomanybigmacs

I just hope he pitches a good 5 innings. The lineup is pretty bad at the moment. They have Markakis starting at 1st base...

So those are the types of pictures you get to be in if you're a Yankee.

Glamour shit.

Looks like some feminine man love

And some trip to your local doctor for itchy balls.

If we go by ESPN we're gonna have to include Miguel Cabrera on the list of underrated players.

Also, Brian McCann. Not enough LOLs for that last pick.
