Good thing there are other players on the team worth watching. We hate our middle infield too. Apologies for not following a team with a $150 million+ payroll. :/
 
two things about tonight's Yanks angels agme

1. did anyone notice how Torii Hunter shoved the fan that was helping him up after he busted his ass diving int eh satands? and it was an Angels fan no less. what the hell is up with Torii???

2. Jeter, you gotta get that ball, other wise 15 away from the magic number. :D

I don't think that was an Angel's fan? Dude seemed pretty pissed at Torii (who didn't seem to even check that the dude he laid out was ok)

Hunter had to deal with a couple of them in the fourth inning, when he flipped over the short right-field wall and disappeared into the seats while attempting to catch Robinson Cano's solo home run. Hunter knocked over a fan but avoided injury.

"I hit one guy, and he must have been a Yankees fan, because I heard another guy say, 'Get off my friend!' like he was going to sue me," Hunter said. "I was just trying to make a play for Santana, who was pitching his butt off. I was close to the ball, but the short wall tipped me over. I'm glad the fan let me catch him."

really? I could have sworn I saw one guy kinda helping him. I know he fell on top of another guy wearing a Yankee hat and shirt. my eyes must be going....

Not saying he wasn't a fool. The umpire was already in "The Umpire: Featuring the American League" mode which was ticking me off. Interesting enough that was Papelbon's first career ejection. First time I have ever seen Varitek ejected as well for barking behind the plate.

Either way, the real story of the night was Aceves. Busted a blister on this throwing hand and bleeding all over his jersey. Throws four in relief? Instant cred.

This shit is almost comical. Phils keep just missing big hits. Dom is super locked in today. Thank god they didnt trade him in the off season, dude is going to be so fucking good.
