Obviously dealing K-Rod/Beltran would matter, but if the Mets could actually make the playoffs that extra revenue would be HUGE. As it stands they're only 4.5 out of the WC, Sandy is going to have a tough job deciding when to unload those guys, if he will.
That's wat I'm saying, if the team makes the playoffs let's says, the renevue from that would be great. I was listening to Michael Kay and he asked, You rather have the team lose before the trade dealine and get prospects or keep the team intact and fight for the playoffs?

Seriously? That's actually kind of funny.

It is, until you look at who's sitting on top of the WC and see it's the Braves, a team that almost lost 6 straight to los Mets. Too bad our pen is shit, almost as bad as your offense.

Heard Boston would be willing to deal some B-level prospects... I heard 2.

If either Iglesias or Ranaudo is in the package you have to make that deal. This franchise needs some depth... And I'm a Beltran fan.

I was talking about the Ichiro 1st-pitch homer, but now that you mention it... the Mets aren't making the playoffs this year.

My bad.

Definitely not much of a chance but the NL is shit.

Bad call. Ichiro hitting it right up the middle straight to the second baseman like usual though.

So Capps is definitely going to give up a homer to Casey Blake now. Good god.
Nah dude, Capps is good. He had all those saves last year and everything, he knows how to pitch and attacks the hitter

oh hey look, Dan Uggla is on the team. Completely forgot about him. Nice of him to show up today.

Have you seen the Braves offense?

Neither have I.
the mets pitching staff is better at hide and seek than the braves offense.

Sharp is Ron Gardenhire confirmed. He really battles his tail off converting 60% of save opportunities, right? Gets after it out there.

He's a fighter and he never gives in to the batter. Goes after 'em with his best pitch every time, that's the way it's done! </Dibble>

It shows integrity to keep going back out there after every blown save.
