Defense isn't horrible when he pitches. Most of time he'll cruise then hit a wall in the middle innings. His control is too good, lots of victimized pitches are in the sweet spot of the strike zone.
People say things like this all the time when pitchers with good peripherals do badly, but I don't buy it. Get back to me at the end of the season.

That's only "qualified" catchers, of which there are very few. Ramos has 55 starts and isn't in that list.

lol walking a run in.

edit: bob walk makes a good point. why the fuck not just bring da heat there instead of trying to get tricky.
H-Rod has absolutely no idea where the strike zone is. When he "brings the heat" he has just as good a chance of a wild pitch as a strikeout. I fucking hate him and his 4.22 SIERA ass and am happy that Johnson only seems to be using him during garbage time.

Stop fucking hitting our batters you assholes.

You can click the "non-qualified" link at the top if you want to see everyone.

Edit: No-hitter over, shutout over!

And Citi Field is alive with "Lets go Yankees!" chants.

we have better options in the minors.
Everyone always has better options in the minors. But somehow, they aren't always better options in the majors. Anyway, if I were a Braves fan I would trust my FO on prospect development.

I trust my FO on prospect development. I do not trust my FO on Scott Proctor development.

Because there is no team in major league baseball with seven top tier relievers? That would be my guess.

Scott Proctor doesn't belong in baseball. He's complete shit. A minor leaguer would be a better option than this guy.

Correia will be 9-3 on the road at the break if we win. We haven't had a pitcher reach 9 road wins since John Smiley went 10-3 in 91' XD

Let's see... strikeout, strikeout, ground ball (1B), fly ball (HR), fly ball (out), walk.

You guys are fucking complaining about this? You really are spoiled for pitching.

Plus hbp, walk. Every other pitch down the middle. FIP over 5. Worst pitcher on the team pitching the 7th, 8th In a one run game. I could go on.

K/9 around 5, bb/9 around 4

I hope the Nationals sign Scott Proctor in the offseason.

Christ guys. Every team has a reliever like that buried deep in their bullpen. Very occasionally, they're going to have to pitch. Even the Padres have Pat Neshek. I'm not saying he's a good pitcher, just that it's hilarious that you guys are complaining so much about having one guy in seven who sucks.

ok, now venters/kimbrel are warming up. So I guess they are availiable today, nice of fredi to wait until we lost the lead to use them.
