Hell yeah. Keane is such a great personality.

My girlfriend and my mother are frightened about not seeing the sun in England.
The weather over here is killing me. We get one day of sunshine for every 30 days of rain.
Wow, I didnt know that about ronaldo's contract. Thats one ****ing good deal for ronaldo.Mama Smurf said:Unless the Glazers sell a big player this summer, I think it's safe to say they are indeed here to run a football club well and not just make some money quickly. And perhaps the only player big enough and young enough to bring in a good amount of money, enough to actually remove a large chunk of debt, would be Rooney. Other than Ronaldo of course, but that situation's already sorted.
I don't expect that at all, I just think that if this summer passes by without a big player being sold, even the most stubborn anti-Glazer United fan would have to admit they were wrong.
They have, afterall, just turned their back on £54m for a single player, and instead offered him a massive new contract worth over £30m over 5 years not including bonuses and it's rumoured that to secure the deal United have had to pay him the difference in amount between his current wage and his old one since he's been at United, to make it as if he's always been on the current contract.
Its too much for some who is that old. If we could get him for a bit less, then he's going to be a good buy, but for how much longer is he going to play as well as he has in the last few seasons? Id rather get bent. He's a good player already and he;s still got his best years ahead of him. The one problem is the price. Pardrew said he could go for £18 million before he changed his mind about it. If Charlton get releagted then they will end up selling him, but for how much less? £12 million is probably the lowest we can get him for. If they dont get relegated then they will probably ask for £18 million like they did before. Bent is good but not that good. We might have to be forced into buying him for a high price. Saha's fitness is a major concern, so getting another striker is ideal. Smith isnt good enough to start, solskjaer is too old and although rossi has been doing very well at parma, I still think that he needs to be put on loan, so we do need another striker. Outside of england there isnt much that you can buy. the world class strikers cost too much and the ones with potential will be risky buys because they might not be able to adjust to english football.Mama Smurf said:So he's consistently scored. The problem is he's 31, and he'll be 32 only a couple of months into next season. As a striker that probably only gives him another couple of years at the most of high quality football, unless he turns out to be one of those freaks like Henrik Larsson.
That's still fine if he's only going to cost a couple of million, but the rumour I read said £6m. I can't imagine Ferguson spending £6m on any player over 30, he didn't even want Ballack on a free when he was only almost 30.
Who cares, its one of the greatest goals of all time.Cornballer said:

Bloomberg News said:Beckham Sparks $13.3 Million in Sales for Galaxy, Covers Salary
By Curtis Eichelberger
April 19 (Bloomberg) -- David Beckham already has brought Major League Soccer's Los Angeles Galaxy an additional $13.3 million in revenue, more than enough to cover his salary for two years.
Beckham, who won't play until July, signed a five-year contract with the Galaxy in January that will pay him an MLS- record base salary of $5.5 million annually and might be worth as much as $250 million with his cut from jersey sales, endorsements and sponsorships.
``We've already made our money back,'' said Tim Leiweke, 49, chief executive officer of Anschutz Entertainment Group, the Los Angeles-based company that owns the Galaxy. ``We were never worried about our financial commitment.''

More about it via the link.
Highlights:
- 7,000 additional season tickets = $4.9 million in new revenue
- Total ticket revenue doubles to $10 million for the season
- $20 million for a five year jersey endorsement deal
- Tripled sponsorship sales to about $10 million
- ESPN is estimating the television audience will increase 25-50%
Just remains to be seen how much of this audience (in the stadium and on tv) that they can maintain over future seasons.
They play at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.WARCOCK said::/ downtown is going to be so crowded now. Which stadium are they going to play in? Cant be staples :/
Id be happy to see salary caps. Thy're getting out of control. Beckhams contract is just stupid. We wont see more contracts like that, but I wouldnt be surprised to see someone get paid 200 000 pounds + at a european club.MrSardonic said:It is, but i can't help think a lot of players are ****s for being so focused on the money side of the game.
If you have been given an opportunity by a big club, trained by them, well paid, enjoying playing for the team and the fans...then it should come down to massive money deals to keep you there. Some of the Chelsea players have been right moany ****s about the whole issue of wages and I think the whole situation is just getting ridiculous in football.
There is a case for a maximum wage/payment cap. Then the best players will get the same salaries wherever they play and it will be back to deciding which place you'd enjoy being at best.
I would love to see the reaction ... the quality of play would prolly suffer from all the protests...Just like Baseball it's too late to have a salary cap in football... sadlypsycho_snake said:Id be happy to see salary caps. It would be interesting to see how players would react if there was a salary cap that meant that the highest they could earn was 5,000 pounds a week. Knowing football players today, they would probably go and protest by doing something like not coming out of the dressing room to play. Its not good enough for them that they get to be heroes to thousands of children and win trophies.
In 2007 Beckham will come to America
