Excellent and now even Manutd.com are saying that we are going after Adriano.Mama Smurf said:Man Utd are still chasing Diarra (the Lyon one), which seems to be the reason Senna's move hasn't happened yet. If they can get the former than that's a major coup, if not they still have a good second choice who'll almost certainly come if they bid.
I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. The mods hate footy we didn't get a sticky last year either.radicalbunny said:And it's about time we get a sticky, 700+ posts and we're still in preseason (for most of the teams you people follow at least. I'd say that's worthy.
Ghost said:+1 for Mclaren, Walcott & Bent have been picked for the U21s, so they arent in the full squad.

Mama Smurf said:Actually, now I look Reo-Coker's in the U21 squad too. I'm a bit unsure how it works to be honest, does Peter Taylor name his U21 squad and then if McClaren names his and there's some crossover those players go into the senior squad and others are called up to the youth level? Or have they gotten together and Taylor knows he can safely name these players as they aren't going to make the senior squad? There's just a lot of names I'm surprised aren't going to get a chance higher up...Ferdinand, Carson, Reo-Coker, Bent...
Ghost said:Why do people still even consider Dyer? The guy has scored 10 goals in the last 5 years.
I know its not really his fault, he's been screwed over by injury every time he's been fully fit since signing for newcastle 6 years ago, but still i dont think he's ever going to be the player everyone thought he might be when he first signed.
I would take Nolan or Barton maybe even Jenas over Reo-coker as an attacking midfielder though, Reo-coker doesnt offer an awful lot going forward, his final ball is poor, he's a good finisher but he's goal shy. He'd make a much better holding midfielder imo, Id love to seem tried out in a Viera kinda role because i think he's got pretty similar attributes.
None of those four will be pushing Gerrard or Lampard for the Euros anyway so i guess it doesnt make much difference.
Mama Smurf said:How did Hargreaves do in a more attacking role?

Wow. I'm impressed. It seriously outclasses anything else in the league, even the Fire's Toyota Park. This is more inline with what I envisioned when MLS started talking up "soccer-specific stadiums" in the USA. Should provide a great atmosphere if the Bulls ever field a team worthy of such a home. :lol

I know im contradicting myself but the stadium has the best skyline in the MLS.Shinobi said:Shoot, that kicks the crap out of Toronto's digs...

It'll still be fun to see a MLS team playing here though, along with the U20 World Cup games. I just hope it's well supported...Toronto soccer fans have a habit of supporting every team in the world but our own. :lol
psycho_snake said:The rumours about hargreaves joining United have resurfaced again. It looks like we will buy either him, diarra or senna. Ive always preferred to see hargreaves join United because I think he is young and he will adapt to english football with no trouble at all.
Football365 do a weekly feature called quotes of the week and each week its usually filled with crap that those three say.Shinobi said:I saw an interview with him recently saying he'd love to play in the Prem at some point, and I reckon if it could happen this season he'd be fine with it. Hell, he was one of the few England players who fans would've carried off the field on their shoulders, as opposed to throwing him under a bus. He'd be a great fit at Man U, and I'd love to see the move occur as I'd get to see him more often.
Meanwhile the Special One says that the Reds could suffer a serious psychological blow if they lose tomorrow's Community Shield match against a "50% Blues squad" tomorrow. :lol One day someone will to publish a book featuring all the quips from Jose, Alex and Arsene.
