Wenger to 'av A Maria...
From a very reliable sauce, we finally have a story. In the barren, desert formerly known as the Arsenal news round up, we have a rumour, a proper one. Our man ITK has a mate, who actually told the interflap about Denilsons arrival last transfer window, and also called the Baptista transfer before anyone else, so believe what you will.
We're buying it, any road and he reckons that the same mate, has told him, before the end of next week, we'll be signing Ángel Di María from Argentinean side Rosario Central. Not a lot more than that is known, aside from Gilles Grimando has been in Argentina and has urged Wenger to make a bid. It's expected that Sir Wenger will make a move for the youngster as soon as he's back from his Italian holiday...
Watch this space, and you heard it here first! (for a change...)

Some of the things his says are reassuring, and some are truly troubling.Soccernet said:Henry slams Dein exit amid transfer talk

Speculation over the future of Thierry Henry will intensify after he slammed the exit of vice chairman David Dein, saying it 'wasn't a clever move' and he was 'devastated', while admitting he is flattered to be linked with a move to the likes of AC Milan.
In an exclusive interview with ESPNSoccernet Press Pass, the Arsenal skipper discussed his future at the Emirates amid talk of a move and bemoaned the loss of a man who, in tandem with manager Arsene Wenger, had been central to the Gunners success.
Dein left Arsenal earlier this year due to unreconcilable differences with the rest of the board, believed to surround the proposed investment from American businessman Stan Kroenke.
Henry was in no doubt about the effect of Dein's departure when pressed on his future following recent newspaper stories in which Carlo Ancelotti confirmed his interest.
Henry told ESPNSoccernet Press Pass: 'It's great to hear [being linked to AC Milan]. How can you not think that? On the other side as I said to you, and so many times at the moment, I'm an Arsenal player.
'Everybody knows that a lot of stuff happened at the club recently that wasn't supposed to happen. In terms of the departure of Mr Dein, the bosses have been unsettled and a lot of players have been unsettled in the club. So the only thing I can tell you is right now I'm an Arsenal player but hearing that is nice to hear, I can't deny it.
The Gunners' record goalscorer did not hide his disappointment at Dein's exit. He said: 'I was devastated. Everybody who knows Mr Dein, we know that the guy loves football. He knew everybody at the stadium, the name of everybody and I mean everybody at the club, whether you play for the youth team or you clean the dressing room - he knew everybody.
'He's the type of guy who used to turn up raining, snowing, windy, to watch the under-17s, the under-19s, the reserves - everybody - on his own at the training ground and one person that I wouldn't have liked to leave the board, would have been Mr Dein.
'But it's out of my hands, I'm not up there. I don't know what happened, and I don't want to know what happened.'
Henry's respect for Dein was further underlined by his opinion that he, with Wenger, has made Arsenal the club it is today.
'What I'm saying to you is that Arsene and Mr Dein, although no one is bigger than the club, are really close to being Arsenal,' Henry added in his interview with ESPNSoccernet Press Pass. ' If you ask me, they're the two people for me who come really close to ever one day saying it.
'But I would like to say that whatever happened, Mr Dein leaving wasn't a clever move.
'So far I'm here, talking to you, about a thing that happened that I didn't agree with but sometimes that's just the way it is. It happened, and we have to move on.'
Despite Henry's future in north London being in doubt, he sees the signs of recovery for an Arsenal side which has been off the pace in the Premiership in recent seasons.
'The potential is definitely there,' he told ESPNSoccernet Press Pass. 'The signs are definitely there. So now let's hope we can put that all together and bring back some silverware. Man United didn't win the league for three years and finally they did it - who would have said that 10 years ago? So things happen sometimes, you have to keep going and make sure you can be better and have a great season next season.'
Henry also admitted that the move to the Emirates made it difficult to compete: 'At the end of the day, everybody knows all of our resources went into building the new stadium. Therefore, you have to deal with what you have. So that's why I would like to give credit to some of the youngsters. Maybe if we don't have a new stadium, we would have done better and maybe have more players, I don't know.
'Sometimes you can't invent something that you don't have or create something that you don't have, so you have to deal with what you have. We're still playing good football, ok, not winning anything at the moment but you know, you have to give us that at least.'

Arsenal are planning to hijack Liverpool's bid to sign Florent Malouda because the France international's move to Anfield has stalled over personal terms.
Talks are expected to take place as early as tomorrow over a 15m (£10.2m) move from the French champions Lyon to Arsenal. Malouda, who was on international duty with France last night as they played their European Championship qualifier against Georgia, is then set to take a week's holiday before deciding his future.
There is also interest in the 26-year-old from Spain and Italy although the likelihood is he will move to England. Liverpool's manager, Rafael Benitez, wanted to make Malouda the first of his major signings this summer and there is a growing frustration from the Spaniard that nothing has been secured. The longer the delay, according to sources close to the player, the greater the chance he may go elsewhere.
That warning has alerted Arsenal who have now stepped in to register their interest in the left-winger, who was a key member of the French side that reached last year's World Cup final. He was recently voted the players' player of the year in France after helping Lyon to their sixth consecutive league title and scoring 10 goals in 27 league starts.
Arsenal have decided against a move for the Ajax winger Ryan Babel after considering bidding for the Dutch international in January. Although he would cost less than Malouda, Arsenal's manager, Arsène Wenger is unsure that Babel is of the highest standard. At the same time Arsenal's interest in Franck Ribéry is set to end with the Marseilles winger expected to complete a 25m (£17m) move to Bayern Munich today. Liverpool, meanwhile, will hope that Marseilles will use some of that cash to sign Djibril Cissépermanently.
If Malouda does arrive at the Emirates Stadium, it will be intriguing to see where he fits into Wenger's plans and what it means for Alexander Hleb and Tomas Rosicky. It also heightens the chances of Fredrik Ljungberg, who has been told he can go, leaving the club on a free transfer. Wenger himself will conduct the negotiations with Malouda if the deal goes ahead and his strong relationship with the out-going Lyon coach Gérard Houllier may be an advantage.
Despite signing a contract extension until 2011 last summer, Malouda announced several weeks ago that he wanted to leave Lyon with the club's president, Jean-Michel Aulas, setting a deadline of the end of June.
He wants to avoid the disruption caused at his club when Michael Essien was sold. The Ghanaian moved to Chelsea and their striker Didier Drogba said earlier this week that he would like to see Malouda move to Stamford Bridge. The two played together at the French club Guingamp and remain close friends.

He's a footballer, he's allowed his opinion, but publicly discussing his disagreement with a board decision is not good. He's getting a bit on my nerves with these things, the world doesn't evolve around him. This interview also tells me that he is definitely considering his future, again, so not good news at all. Apart from him talking about "us" in the future obviously.

Its quitew the opposite for United fans. Madrid move for Chelsea's Robben
Real Madrid are in talks with Chelsea to sign winger Arjen Robben, according to the Spanish club's president.
"We are in discussions with Chelsea and the player, they are at an early stage but we hope to sign him," said Real president Ramon Calderon.
"Bringing Robben was one of my pledges when I was running for president and still remains the case."
Robben, 23, was reported to be close to signing a new deal to keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2012.
