Awkward press conference but whatever. It's over and Beckham is now a player in the MLS. About time. Now I can't wait to taunt him when he comes to Giants Stadium next month. Perhaps I'll buy a blow-up doll, name it Posh Spice and bring it to the game.

If you guys want to know how little people in America know about the sport of football look at the Beckhams' arrive thread.
Dude, I've been keeping an eye on that, and I can't bring myself to go and fight the trolls.

That guy's post was so bad that I stopped reading when he said there was no buildup. I didn't get to the part where he said there was no rhythm until Miner quoted him. Unbelievable.

I've seen Man City linked to Lucho Gonzalez (Porto), Ludovic Guily and Thiago Motta at various sites today.
Yes plz.

He just got busted for having an affair with a news anchor on a Spanish language channel.
I didn't care for him much (beyond him being an alumnus of my university) until I heard that story. :lol

just read about Ljungberg, he's a gentleman. I feel a bit bad about letting him go, I think he's not pleased about it - but he still behaves like you could only wish (unlike certain other people that needed to bring unrest to the club to make themselves feel better).

you shouldn't get too worked up about those people btw. I have a feeling it's gonna take a long time before football is taken seriously in your country.

I think the best part is that she read the news that the wife was filing for divorce.

The pic was already posted, her name is Mirthala Salinas.

The best part is that she gets around the California Latino politician circuit to an extent that I'm starting to wonder if she's a groupie or a spy from New York. (She's been linked to Fabian Nunez and Alex Padilla in the past.)

Wenger on tomorrow's squad:

“Basically the players that are back in training are available, so you could see Kolo Toure, Manuel Almunia, Gael Clichy, Mathieu Flamini, Denilson, Theo Walcott, Robin van Persie and Emmanuel Adebayor. They are all likely to be included so it should be a very familiar side.”

Eduardo is likely to not feature yet apparently.

Still I am very excited about tomorrow and that we'll see so many first team players - which is really unusual for this stage of the pre season.

Today is Hadareud vs. the whole Sam's Army squad as the Baby Nats try to send the Austrians back to the Danube at 2 p.m. EST. Predictions anyone?

2-0 so far, Adebayor and Barazite

Denilson stretchered off injured in a challenge long after whistle had gone.

No Eduardo or Sagna, but Nordtveit is on for 2nd half.

Edit: Denilson's injury not as serious as initially feared, but he was subbed anyway...better safe and all that.

stream?

was an ok game, just got back
from the living room, where I watched it on the laptop

Theo played well and it was good to see the team in action again - but of course it was a typically boring pre season game.

Finally, I hope Captain Keane will be happy to get him at a bargain :lol

In fact, I think he can do better there.

Wenger about Reyes:

Wenger told Sky Sports News: "I think he will go. There is no way to have an unhappy player.

"Despite the global warming England is still not warm enough for him."

Regarding his own future, Wenger added: "I have shown my commitment in the past and have never cared too much about the weather."

:lol

:lol

wow, lol. Wenger just owned Reyes. Honestly, what a p***y.

A bit off topic, does anyone know where I can find the Valencia 3rd kit from 05/06. It's the one that is like their crest. With the yellow and orange vertical stripes...?

Did Wenger just gang rape Reyes singlehandedly?

H0pper: No stream, some ppl were watching on ArsenalTV and kept me informed

Also about old Jerseys, I'm looking for the Arsenal Blue Jersey with Yellow trimming...any help?

A couple of things about the Arsenal game...... Traore looked really good in my opinion. He's constantly improving and will be good cover for Clichy in the left back position. Walcott looked really good even for such an early game, very fast as always, looked filled with confidence, was taking players on, etc... Mark Randall also looked promising, obviously he isn't ready yet, but, in the future he looks like he'll make a name for himself either at Arsenal or else where.

Adebayour looked no where near match fitness, Van Persie is obviously a long time without football.....

Denilson's injury got me a bit worried..... Glad to hear it was nothing. It was a really stupid tackle in the first place. >.>

A lot of Arsenal's reserves looked a bit lacking. v.v;;

It was a pretty boring game overall, but, it's good to watch Arsenal play again. :)
