ESPN really needs to switch the American U-20 games to one of its main channels. I don't even have the option of getting ESPNU without getting a dish, so I'm SoL.

Instead, I'm reading text updates on FIFA.com's gamecast, like it's a game of Championship Manager or something.

Altidore scored, though.

can't you watch it on univision, or one of the spanish channels in your area? in nyc it's on WFUT

US is doing really bad. WTF happened. I had the match on and I started playing WE. Suddenly US lost so much ground. It is as if Austria deserves to win now. However Adu is too entertaining. I will be sorry to see him go.
EDIT: OMFG... forget that Adu just ****ed up the greatest change by trying to show off.

Found it on Telefutura a few minutes after I posted. TVguide.com and TiVo show it as broadcasting Videos Más Asombrosos del Mundo, which is why I didn't check at the beginning of the game.

Of course, now I'm almost regretting watching it.

so many missed opportunities by the US in the 2nd half of extra time, but Austria had a fair number too. oh well, back to WE.

My PES made some pretty close predictions. Bayern bought Klose and Ribery for example and West Ham bought Fabianski. And Arsenal is losing players left and right like in realiy (Fabregas, Senderos, Rosicky, Ljundberg, Walcott all in one season), but they still have Henry.

I think Austria deserved their victory on balance today. The USA were the stronger team in the first half and Austria were lucky to equalize, but from then on they were the better side and they had the better chances. The winning goal was a lucky bounce, but that shouldn't matter too much.

Predictably I am very pleased with our side and that they reached the semi finals, which is much more than you could expect. There's a few players in that side that could make it in the Premiership, I hope the scouts took note.

The goalkeeper is dodgy though, I hope he's changed for the semis.

I prefer real life to that scenario

Sometimes is as if Mexico bought referees. What they are doing to Uruguay is shameless. They are stealing the match. It is funny because not even in the replay you can see what happened. Not even the narrators.

Meltdown at the U20's. Pretty funny stuff. There's a double-red, a card getting knocked out of the official's hand, and lots of crying. Good times.

:lol I almost died of laughter when I saw the player snatch that red card, than his pathetic balling after he got sent off because of it. How the **** could he not think he wouldn't see the red as well? Stupid ****.

just found out that Lewis Hamilton is a gooner.

In your face, everyone else

Damn...I might have to like him even more than Raikkonen now.

It's a great doubleheader for Argentina fans today...not a bad double bill for us neutrals either.

You forgot about my Fire taking on the powerhouse Carolina Railhawks for the US Open!

Watch out Miner 3 MLS teams got knocked out by USL teams this week. Then again the Fire usually take this competition seriously.

:lol

Toronto FC visits the defending champs Houston Dynamo tonight, looking to do the double. Can't see it happening though.

Oh yeah Carolina's gonna probably beat our ass.

In other news, our new owners Andell Holdings have flirted with Hollywood producing, and have been involved with the following films:

"The Blind Bastards Club" (2002) - possible Fire rebranding?
"Thunderpants" (2002) - IMdb states this is a story of "an 11-year-old boy's amazing ability to break wind"
"Gladiatress" (2004) - shows a poster featuring a sword-wielding female warrior in a scanty costume beside these words: "Does my gluteus maximus look big in this?"

AEG... *gulp* come back please?

Brazil is getting 3.60 odds against Argentina.

Hm. Interesting. I think this one will be close. 3.60 odds might be worth a $50 spot on Brazil, no?

I'm back!

As you know, I went to Liverpool. I had a great time overall besides having food poisoning on the first night :(

But, guess what, I went to Anfield for a tour with the guys... and I bumped into none other than Ryan Babel :o :o

Did he fall to the floor, clutching his leg?

Allegedly Arsenal have agreed a fee with Boca for Rodrigo Palacio. Barcelona were apparently close to signing him, but deals have broken down

No idea if this is at all reliable, but I would be surprised if it was. Fee is rumoured around 15 million pounds.

Seems a tad much...this is Wenger after all.
