lineup:

Almunia; Sagna - Toure - Song - Clichy; Theo - Flamini - Denilson - Randall; Van Persie - Adebayor

Eduardo, Rosicky on the bench. I didn't see the rest of the bench because my parents rudely interrupted me with a phonecall.

Parents....sheesh. You'd think they'd check the fixture list first.

I have a supposed live stream here, but it's not working yet.

EDIT: It's working now, but it's smooshed in IE. Everyone looks short and fat, including Ade.

the sopcast one is working, just tried it. (address is sop://broker1.sopcast.com:3912/9089)

I'd give you my login for the arsenal website, but then it would kick me out. I'm not that nice a person. Barely nice at all to be honest.

Heh. No worries. I'm at work, so I can't just sit here and watch it. I'm just switching over every once in a while to catch a glimpse.

Looks like Theo's still fast, eh?

Cancerbiriglieralele just hit the post. Poor game so far. Can't really expect too much when it's 34 degrees at that time a day though.

yeah getting stronger now. Sagna is starting to push forward, and he looks very competent at doing so. I like what I am seeing. Walcott is trying things, not yet quite working for him but I wouldn't be surprised if he sets up a goal soon.

edit: our bench by the way:
* Lukasz Fabianski
* Philippe Senderos
* Emmanuel Eboue
* Armand Traore
* Johan Djourou
* Abou Diaby
* Francesc Fabregas
* Fredrik Ljungberg
* Alexander Hleb
* Tomas Rosicky
* Nicklas Bendtner
* Eduardo Da Silva

Baptista would probably have scored it, Carling cup and friendlies are his speciality.

by the way, you need to post more Mama. I am catching up to you and we can't have that.

Wait for the season to start.

Why does Walcott jlust keep passing the ball inside or back? I want to see him skin the defender down the line, that's what he was bought for.

I like what I'm seeing from Sagna going forward, he looks good (apart from the haircut, which is a bother both offensively and defensively). He wasn't yet tested defensively, so it's difficult to say what he's like.

Agreed, I was already impressed with Eboue going forwards, that was never an issue, this game isn't telling me too much about wther Sagna is the answer to Arsenal's right side.

Not exactly the most free flowing Arsenal performance I've ever seen, though they should probably be up anyway, but they are playing 3 defensive midfielders. Throw in Fabregas and Rosicky for a couple of them and I'm certain they'd have scored.

yeah, there's nothing coming from our midfield at the moment. Randall looked really good against Barnet, but nothing is coming from the left today. Walcott is clearly not there yet, he doesn't look confident to me today, and central midfield is too defensive - as you would expect.

Blackburn's competitive season starts in a few days, 5pm Sunday away to Vetra in the Intertoto Cup. Bit annoyed that Five haven't picked the game up, but I'm sure it'll show up as a stream somewhere.

Well, if he's fully owned by West Ham, then they're under no obligation to sell him full stop.

I don't believe the tearing up the contract thing though. As if Kia is going to say "oh, that was illegal was it, here I'll relinquish any claims to Tevez and lose out on millions of pounds", when he could say "oh, that was illegal was it, well you'd better give him back then so I can sell him elsewhere".

The only way the tearing up the contract thing actually happened is if both parties agreed to it. One side can't just do that themselves, or no one would be paying their mortgage. And the only way Kia agreed to that is if West Ham agreed that, while they would get paid the money for any sale of Tevez, they'd then pass it on to him afterwards as just, you know, a thank you.

Now if the Premier League didn't get proof[/i] that the contract was torn up, they shouldn't have allowed Tevez to play on. If they didn't, they're worst legal panel I've ever heard of.

If they did, it's still not over. If Kia has it in writing that West Ham will give him a rather substantial "thank you gift" after any transfer of Tevez, then he has a case. If it was just a verbal agreement and he can't prove anything, I don't think he'd have a leg to stand on.

I can only see this going two ways. Either it will be revealed that West Ham don't own Tevez, in which case they (and I like to the the Premier League for their incompetence) are ****ed and Tevez is free to be sold to United by MSI, or they do own him and they can either sell him for a lot or keep him until his contract runs out.

I just can't see how there could be a compromise.
Thats the way I see it too.

You dont want to agree a deal with us because you'll have to shell out cash upfront, Kia's offer gives you Tevez for 2 years for £1.4 million upfront (which goes straight into MSIs bank account). £30 million or a Fifa arbitration...not a hard sum to do.
But if the thrid party contract is ripped up or terminated, then we shouldnt have to pay kia because he doesnt own him. If thats the case then it should be a pretty simple case and there shouldnt be any need for fifa to intervene.

The EPl shouldnt be concerned about where the money goes. If they approve of the termination of the third party contract, then west ham will get all the money if they sell tevez, unless they're concerned that when tevez is sold, west ham will give kia a chunk of the money because that was an agreement they made when the contract was ripped up.

are you playing any friendlies before that or is that your first game?

We've played a couple already, and have a few more along with the Intertoto games before the start of the season.

Which is away to Middlesbrough, where I actually think we might win our opening game for once :O

it was beautifully set up by Walcott, who took on the defence for the first time and outpaced them. Van Persie just tapped it in basically.

Rosicky on, Randall off. Traore on for Clichy and Eboue for Sagna. Still Denilson and Flamini in central midfield though

edit: Song just elbowed a turkish player in the face. Idiotic challenge, take him off. Dick.

well done walcott. I'm expecting to see quite an improvement from him next season. He's got the skill and the pace, but he needs to work on his body strength and his composure.

Rosicky on and we're playing brilliantly. Theo scores a very nice goal.

That's the sort of strike which makes Adebayor my top tip for golden boot next season!
:lol

I've said it before and I will say it again. On his days, Adebayor couldn't score in a condom

walcott proves me wrong too. He was very well composed then. Good strike. Adebayor should watch carefully and see how to shoot properly

I'm loving the way arsenal are playing. I really think that they;re going to surprise everyone next season.

the only thing that still worries me is his technique at times. Maybe it's just that his feet are bit too quick for his head though. He'll learn quickly.

Agreed. He's still so young so you cant expect him to do the right thing all the time. Its just a matter of getting more experience.

he showed nice vision.

Adebayor will start scoring more one day too, but in the end I'd be more than happy with 12 to 15 a season from him

1 minute in, and Senderos gets plonked and has a bloody lip. :lol

I can't get any streams to work...and i really wanna see Eduardo.

HALP!

hmm, the sopcast one worked fine for me. The link is a few posts up ...

yeah, it's strange. Maybe he only wanted to give those players 20 minutes odd.

I hope it's not injury related, that's the last thing we need

Eduardo will soon learn. Two good crosses put in, nothing coming from either.

Give it a couple of months and he'll give up on crossing altogether.

yeah, Bendtner is a bit poo so far. But in the end you can't tell too much from this.
