No wonder the majority of people in Canada hate soccer.Osorio said:Ok the Canada goal was a total **** up by the ref but throughout the whole game he was biased against the Americans.
For whatever reason Mexico tends to play better in games where they are the underdogs ( see vs Arg@WC) It's almost as if they think they are too good to try vs "lesser" teams. That said I hope the Us tears them apart on Sunday.BatiGOOOOOOL said:The level of this cup is so ****ing worthless. Mexico is going to get spanked in Copa America.
I never said it evens it out. It was a terrible call that should've lead the game to extra time. I just said that in response to Batigol saying that a team not Mexico or US was screwed over as if the ref was trying to allow the U.S. win. It's just embarrassing officiating all around.The Internet said:No wonder the majority of people in Canada hate soccer.
I guess it's all good that the goal didn't count because it evened out the bad calls. Crazy.

Ive never had the chance to watch players like pele and maradona, Ive only seen clips of them. Ive always argued that it would be a lot more difficult for these players to stand out in today's game, but my dad says that maradona was playing now he would still be the best player in the world by far.hadareud said:The problem is that the standard of the game is so much higher these days than it was back then - it's more difficult to really stand out now I suppose.
Also, these days it's a lot more difficult for offensive players, since defending got a lot better too. Today's defenders are not only excellent in positioning but are also pacey and have good technical ability.
I'm not playing down any of those guys by the way, since they were fantastic and amazing.
After what he's done this season, I couldnt give a ****. Sometimes his stepovers are completely useless. Agaianst AC Milan he tried doing all his skills but he pretty muhc provided nothing for both legs. However most of ronaldo's performances have been unbelievable this season. He is a show off and he probably very arrogant, but he's dome amazing things. Dont tell me that none of you wished you had him in your team. Who cares if he shows off, he brings results.hadareud said:it's because C. Ronaldo is a horrible show off. It pisses me off watching 20 stepovers - there's nothing about those stepovers that a trained monkey couldn't do. Yeah, yeah, he's gotten better and all, but he's still a poxy little show off. (also, it's rumoured that the C does not stand for Cristiano)
Not all good players are like that though, luckily.
That reminds me of the problems I get at home. During the 2004/05 and 2005/ 06 seasons my mum organised a social event for the whole family on the same boloody night as the CL final! Eventually she's forced to change the date of the event because everyonbe in the house is so opposed to it, but whenever we try to start persuyading her not to do it on that day she says "You've watched loads of games this year, it doesnt matter if you miss this one"Mama Smurf said:I'm annoyed at my sister, she's set her wedding date for a Saturday in September 2008. Who knows what fixtures might be on that day, she really has no consideration for others. I'm now gonna refuse to usher, they should just get a sign like I said in the first place.

I think so too, I think they all would be at the very top, for sure.psycho_snake said:Ive never had the chance to watch players like pele and maradona, Ive only seen clips of them. I don't know. If he would have joined us from Portugal maybe he would have grown on me. but it's difficult, even though he was the best player in the Premiership this season by quite a margin.After what he's done this season, I couldnt give a ****. Chelski 2.0, baby! I can feel the fans coming out of the woodwork as we speak... (too bad they're in for a rude awakening when the inevitable "Typical City" kicks in).New Man City owner Thaksin Shinawatra has vowed to make the club as big as rivals United. (Various)
The former Thai Prime Minister, who has today launched a bid for the football club, confirmed he will bring in substantial funds to build a successful City squad.
And he promised to never disappoint the Clubs passionate fan base, who have been yearning for success.
On the issue of transfer funds, Dr Shinawtara said: When you buy a boat, you need to buy an engine! If necessary it may cost £50m, it may cost £30m or it may cost £20m. I will leave recruitment to my advisors, but I know we need two strikers, two midfielders and maybe some others.

let's hope so. Like I said before I don't think he actually wants to leave, he's just playing a game.Ronok said:That video of Henry on a Korean TV show.... In part 8 he asks the presenters of the show to come down to London one day and he'll get them tickets for a game and go out with them...........
Henry staying at Arsenal confirmed by Korean TV.... ^^;
Hopefully they do. Promoted clubs need a good striker or else they struggle. Had marlon king not been injured for watford, then they would been able to put up a much better fight.navanman said:Preston have given 2 unnamed clubs permission to talk to David Nugent. Hopefully Sunderland get their man.

Oh... and erm... defenders... maybe.
I wonder what Houllier was thinking, Kewell and Cisse are one of our most highest paid players in the club, but based on their performances on the pitch they don't deserve it
