I put the mp4 video (from the EU store) on my computer (using my psp actually lol), and just hit print screen (or snapshot in VLC). Resized them 50% and compressed them a little to upload a little faster. To be fair the resizing probably made it look like 16xAA or something.

edit:

To get an idea...

You can really see all the artifacts from the video quality/compression.

Same screen resized.

I used to think that the lighting in Forza 2 was good, but seeing those new images I understand how wrong I was.
PD are really gods implementing lights.

No one, and i mean no one does lighting as good as PD. They're unmatched in the industry. It's unreal. I just wish they'd spend some time on physics, sound, damage, AI and online. :\ GT4 and HD suffer for it.

How do you do this? I'm curious
In the XMB, press triangle when you highlight the video you want. Select "Copy". Copy to storage device, in this case It showed up with the PSP (but memory sticks, compact flash cards, flash drives, external hdds, and SD cards work fine). And then just copy to your computer.

So doing this I could copy and upload all my videos to a friend's PS3 too right?

Me neither. Don't tell me I'll have to make yet another online account, this time for an exclusive UK store or whatever country it is.

edit: Made a UK account and whad'ya know, a new GTHD video.

Yeah I think thats possible. My cousin copied all his videos to his external hard drive to his PC, and then back to his PS3 when he replaced the stock hard drive so he didnt have to redownload all of them. Video/music/pictures can all be copied like that.

It was on the front page for me. Not sure. I have a UK account.

Even your huge pic looks better than most pics from major websites dude :lol

To be fair they might have used capture cards, and I'm just "screenshoting" the actual source video. :p

T10 needs to take notes on car design from these guys, and these guys needs to take not on everything else form T10.
STFU. Seriously, you're talking about the pioneers of this genre, they don't need to take notes from ANYONE. GT3 and 4 were restricted by the platform they were on, but still were amazingly fun to play. GT is a game made by enthusiasts for enthusiasts.

Sorry

Exactly, I hate style biters.

Its not about copy cat. Its more about keeping up with the latest standards for the genre.

If someone else raises the bar, you are going to be expected to meet or exceed it.

Who says they aren't? From everything Kaz has said its not going to be GT with prettier graphics, they've got alot of things planned for the game.

Sorry

Pioneers of the racing genre?? Maybe I'm wrong but I think that when I was a kid there was something called Test drive that if I'm not wrong was a racing game, and there was also something called need for speed, and some others.
I'm not questioning if PD are amazing, they are and what they did to the racing genre was amazing, it's just that some people think that some genres only exist since the playstation.
But back to the topic, are you saying that they cannot make a fun game and innovate on something??Or at least look at what PG3 or Forza2 are doing in various things like online, customization, damage, an adapt to their idea of a racing game???
It's what Gek says, it's not about copying it, it's about keeping up with the standards. There is a limit on how pretty are the graphics on a game.

No one is saying that you can't or that PD shouldn't, what people are saying is that they don't need to be like "this game does this so we have to do it", if they don't think it fits GT then it shouldn't be in it. As I said, let them do what they want with it.

Oh yeah, TEKKEN and Streets of Rage are the same genre to, right? GranTurismo is the first 3D racer of it's type, it REINVENTED the genre, with real tracks, real cars, realistic controls.

Polyphony isn't about keeping up with the standards, they are about creating standards, anyone who thinks that they aren't on top of their game, and over 100 of people is just working on creating trailers is stupid.

Not to mention that car physics are perfect in GT Concept and Gt Four, it just feels right.

I still think the level of realism PD's capable of producing is unrivaled.

With Forza I just never got that "feeling". Not the weird kind.

I guess that's why we have Forza and GT.

Yeah they re-invented it..and have not been making any notable progress either..nothing wrong with improving.

That's arguable, but they've since gone on to giving you the most complete racing experience out there. I don't think there's any racing game that gives you as much for your money as GT does.

I remember reading a while ago that GT5 would have car interiors/cockpit view for racing. Was that ever confirmed?

Well I certainly respect your opinion, we will just have to disagree(I love the series btw, forza simply took 1st for me upon its release).

If it doesn't it would be surprising given that they've modeled the interiors

They are modeled out, I'm not sure why they don't enable that view in GTHD. But I'm pretty sure it will be in the final GT5 game.

The quality of that picture hurts the eyes lol.

Should look even better in-game though with the lighting.

I really appreciate the models in this game (even if I have severe issues with the track) after playing a bunch of Test Drive U last night.

Good lord, how is that even possible?

I hope the gameplay come thorugh. If it does this is the definite system seller for me. I needs my car porn. I won't stand for GT 1 HD though. I know Kaz has said a lot of things, but at some point you come to realize the guy can't exactly be trusted.

I mean, we anxiously waited 3 years for GT4 and we got ****ing b-spec mode and photo mode?! That was it? The biggest additions to the franchise in 6 years were basically non-game? I could have killed someone back then.

Absolute musts for GT5 or I'm swearing off the series:
12 cars racing
Damage
Online play
Upgraded Physics (I really like the feel of the physics right now, no doubt they've got a lot of it right, but I'd like to see them go for a real physics engine instead of the faked physics they've been doing)
Weather (not because I think it's essential but becuase I think PD has to introduce something/anything that will give new creases to the gameplay.)

You're a moron, or you just haven't played GT games one after another through all those years.
Systems like ABS, ETS, TCS weren't even available in GT1, in GT2 there was ABS, then in GT3 driving model was improved by a huge margin, and GT4 even added to that, making drifting more realistic and fun, along with adding all the modern driving aids.

I agree, or rather tell you (you don't seem to have any clue) that there wasn't much progress between GT3 and GT4 in AI department, it's just as bad as it was all the time, I actually prefer GT1 AI. But that was mostly due to technical limitations, Polyphony wanted to make the best driving game, with the best graphics possible, and they did it. The driving model in GT4 is just amazing. We might enjoy different things in racing games, but when you compare powerful cars with rear drive (Skyline, Supra) in FORZA and GT, you will notice that FORZA, or any other racer doesn't have the realism and pure fun of getting around the corner, I can't even describe it.

Just so you know, I'm an enthusiast, I love most of racing games, but there are some that get more love. I put FORZA ahead of GT4, but when you try to downplay skills of Polyphony Digital, then I just can't let it slip through.

By the way, I don't expect GT5 to appear before Fall 2008, modelling so many cars, with such attention to detail will take them a long time.

It probably will...as a standalone feature on one-car tracks. Polyphony has implemented limited features before in previous games. Like the high-fi mode in GT1. I wouldn't be disappointed if it only is going to become a limited feature if it means that more important things would be addressed before trying to raise the so called standard. Before raising a standard, all other aspects of a game should be perfect too. This wasn't the case with GT4.
