Official Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas topic

I dunno, I'd try to go back to LS and into the johnson home and save. Last time I did that, I somehow cleared a weird bug where I couldn't exercise...

i've done that actually, but i suppose it wouldn't hurt to give it another shot.
 
She appears between 12pm and 10pm, btw. Try to not stand around the entire day in front of her house. Go save at the save point near wuzi's hotel until its the right time and then go to her house.
 
like i said earlier, i've been going at the right times, and at some points, would just keeping doing laps around the block for days at a time waiting for the red marker to appear, and nothing.

I have the same thing happen to me with the only two girls I know. They just aren't there anymore. At least I got what I needed from Millie though before she dissapeared.
 
I'm having problems to, as stated earlier in my reply. I put on my gimp suit and all it says is "she's not home. Come back later..." So you have to between 12pm and 10pm?


P.S. That Madd Dogg mission was awesome. Reminded me of the last mission in VC. =P
 
Finally figured out that bish mission for the casino. Just wait until 22:00 at night, and make sure you're not wearing the gimp suit. I killed her and went into the house to get the password. lol.

I just dated her to completion. Then I found out that you can buy the club car off the import ship once you export enough cars. :\

A had a fun glitch. I tried to take over Santa Maria Beach, got through the first two waves, but the third never reached me. I looked around, and they appeared to be below me somewhere on the other side of the pier. I figured they were stuck on the shore. They weren't. I was right on top of them but I couldn't see them. Then I had a hunch... jumped in the water and I was shot at. So I dived down, and sure enough, standing (yes, standing) normally on the bottom of the sea and firing at me were about 10-15 Ballas. They kept trying to climb up the sea wall but it was too steep, so they just sat there shooting at me. I couldn't be arsed to try leading them along the dock to walk up the beach so I just reloaded :-P

I didn't find that glitch much fun.

I had to re-attempt that mission about three times to get the Ballas to spawn so I could fight them. I tried to swim out of the water and I was going to use my grenades on them, but when I tried to swim out of the canal, I went too far and it cancelled the mission.
 
How many people can you recruit in your gang? I just got Sweet and I tried out many people I could recruit and 4 people followed me! MY question is, can they steal a car and follow you if all of them can't fit into your car, because I just had to do those gang territory missions and I died, because not being able to save. :(
 
What a really good quick way to make tons of cash besides gambling? I'm about twenty hours in and just made it out of Los Santos but I rarely have enough money to buy the safe houses. So I'm stuck transversing half the freaking map to get to the new missions. (Really wonder why The Truth and Catalina are so far apart) Quite boring really. And if I fail the missions.....yikes.

So any tips?

There's always a free save point right next to almost every mission.

Well, since you lost all your weapons in the transition to the Countryside, there's really nothing lost if you get wasted or busted. My advice, don't reload just to start missions over. Just drive back to the hideout, for example, if you mess up a Catalina mission.

There's a save next to Catalina and in Whetstone, so it's not asking too much of you. To save yourself even more trips, go ahead and complete all of Catalina's missions before moving on.
 
I may have a solution to the girlfriend not showing up problem. I was having the same problem with Michelle in San Ferrio. I noticed that she wouldn't show up after having started a Zero mission and failing it. She would finally show when I was finally able to complete that mission. So, I suggest trying to finish any side missions that you may have started but haven't been able to pass.

this may be the solution. she started showing up when i had no missions to do other than one for wuzi(madd dogg mansion mission).

so, maybe that is it.
 
I feel pretty poser-ish, but what's the song that plays at the beginning of IGN's video review of San Andreas? I've heard it in the game and I love it but I can't find out who the artist is. :(

i think what's his name was on to something with going to her after finishing a side mission though. cause i remember that last time millie called me, what after finishing zero's mission. thing his, his missions are complete boring garbage. i did his second mission, no problem, did all my mission objectives is super fast time, just no fuckin fuel to get back on time. really fuckin annoying. i'll keep giving it another shot though, cause i really want to finish that wuzi shit.

At first I thought not holding the acceleration would conserve fuel but it doesnt. It turns out its just a time constraint. Hit the two targets to the south first and you should have a quarter tank when you finnish.
 
I just opened up the bridges from San Fierro to Las Venturas. I didn't have any problems with Zero's RC missions, but the 4WD test is wicked hard.

I thought "monster" was piss easy. Just hold down the 4WD whenever you go over anything bigger than the top of the truck's wheels

And god, boat school is actually fun. how do I get that

Okay, I must suck or something. I'm on the one flying lesson where you have to circle the airstrip and then land. Going through the rings is easy, but I can't seem to land properly. When I turn through the last hoop I can never slow down enough. The plane always bounces when I touch down. I've got the square button held down the entire time...but I'm always coming in too fast. What the hell am I doing wrong? :(

Do you have your landing gear down? Are you coming down too steep? When I approached that last hoop, I was already descending. By the time I'd reach the airstrip I wasn't to far up and could ease her down gently.

You need to keep the left analog stick up to keep the nose down as the plane taxis along the runway.

There's one along the south side of the Pirate's in Men's Pants casino. It's actually to the side of the building. I love taking that baby on the surface streets...
 
Finally beat the game today at round 63% or so with 40 hours of playtime. Still lots of stuff I want to do. Haven't even looked at the boat training missions yet. Only did the vigilante R3 missions.

Seriously, this game is so GOTY it's not even funny. I love HL2, Halo2, MGS3, MP2 but this game really is unbeatable with all it has.
 
After playing a bit of NFSU2 for PC, I'm hoping GTA can look like this soon

Is there a limit to how high you can go in a plane? SO far Ive only flown the Dodo and the Lear jet (just found that today) from Los Santos Airport and they both seem to be able to reach the same altitude. I really wanna free-fall for like 5 minutes and just take in the scenery.

Also, where in the hell can I get a pilots license? I wanna fly better aircraft.
