I am happy they got rid of the HEat vision mode and nerfed the Night vision. For shogmaster complaining about campers......why not use the Drones?
Same here. I found that the first GRAW to have little replay value, but GRAW2's multiplayer was a blast. Agh, I don't know what to do. Circuit City even has a $10 off promotion going on which makes it even more enticing.JB1981 said:So torn about buying this.
Treo360 said:SP is broken up into 3 chapters and one training chapter (you can skip this though) If you've played GR before I suggest that you play this on Unrestricted mode, every other mode is waaay too easy (for me that is) The campaign is about 6-8 maybe 10 hours max, and sadly there is one mission that reminds me a bit too much of R6:V, not going to spoil it though, but if you've played R6 you'll see.
UBI seems to have dumbed down the difficulty (even in Ur mode) when playing the Air assault missions. I remember there were times in GRAW 1 were I wanted to throw my controller at the TV because the A.I. was too good and shot you rather quickly in the Helo missions. Well, in GRAW 2 I made it through the all the Helo missions without getting hit once, this is better, but at the same time seems a bit cheap (damned if you do . . .)
The auto-cover system is still annoying, as you will find yourself getting stuck on walls etc.
Graphics? You've seen the screen shots, then you've seen what the game is like, especially when you fly over Juarez, truly destroyed beauty (whatever that phrase Cliffy B used)
But here's the big question, the $60 question. Is it worth it?
My impressions suck, I know that they do, I just don't have the patience to get into full detail. GRAW 2 is a visual improvement over it's past iteration, and with Cross Com 2.0 there are some great new additions, you actually feel like you have a squad that you can control.
I love the GR series played it while I was in the Army religiously, on the xbox and 360. For previous owners though, it's not worth $60 based on SP alone
Newcomers and those who like tactical shooters that didn't buy last year's version will appreciate the SP campaign.
I feel that this game will receive a 8.0 with ± 3 and if you don't like the number scale I give this game a $49.99 based on SP alone
Edit: I incorrectly labeled the difficulty. It should read:
Low
Guarded
&
Elevated Risk

I was wondering the same exact thing...rage1973 said:Why aren't there any game reviews of GRAW2?

Shogmaster said:Completely reliant? Fvck you little bitch! Something tells me that if I play you a game of GRAW, you won't be the one out there moving around, but hiding out in your favorite camp spot being all "tactical" or staying the way fvck back with a sniper rifle. Real masters of fun right there!
I used heat vision to see camping bitches who like to hide in the dark to play all "tactical". How many times have we all witnessed these little "geniuses" that spend their whole time in maps like Boneyard to find the newest clever little hidey spots on top of some lamp posts or whatever so that they can shoot us in the back? Heat vision was my anti asshole-camper vision. Without it, many would have abandoned the game long before to these camping numbnuts.
Look here boys: I don't mind playing a tactical single player experience, taking my time using the drone and all that. I love being sneaky as the next guy, and I love being the sniper as much as you. I dug it and I'm probably buying the game just for the SP.
But when it comes to multiplayer, I have no more fvcking patience to waste my valuable play time (I don't have tons of it because of work) waiting for camping fvckers who are waiting for ME to walk into their oh so clever traps. Hey assholes! Those other people you are playing against aren't some fvcking braindead AI! LET'S GET THIS SHIT GOING! I HAVE A FVCKING GAME TO ENJOY BEFORE THE NIGHT'S OVER!!

So i finished level 2, holy crap, now let me get one thing straight...i love "tactical" games, i loved the 1st Ghost Recon on 360 last year, and i loved rainbow six Vegas.
This one, it just kicks things up a notch, it really takes things into the next level as far as presentation goes.
Now, the gameplay is basically the same, but its much more intense. Shooting a gun, getting in a firefight and then the music kicks in and people start dying and shit exploding man, this game rocks. And speaking about the music, awesome, trully awesome, feels like you are in a movie like black hawk down or some shit, seriouslly good.
The graphics? One of the best looking games around, explosions are crazy good, effects like dust and blur and shit are awesome, the lightning is the best i've seen, and you can't help but love it when you have the chance to really see the graphics in motion when you are being briefed on the jeep and get to look at the montains and the dust and the clouds and shit, man, it's awesome.
I'm really impressed, definitilly a good game from what i've played, and if you liked the 1st one, then this one is pretty impressive.
I never thought i would say this since i didn't like the idea of this game coming out soo soon after the 1st one, but so far, great job ubi, great ****ing job.
Hey Treo, are there more opportunities to swap guns in GRAW2 sp? The thing that really bothered me about the first game was that I was stuck with the same gun for several missions. And the enemy were all issued the same gun :|Treo360 said:I got some pics of some of the missions if anyone wants me to post them (however I think that Blim Blim's sight will suffice)

Treo360 said:Wow got a couple of games today, and I must say this is awesome! I love the new healing system for multi, case in point:
I had a red team member in sight, so I lined her up and lobbed a 40mm grenade. I over shot her by a couple of meters, however she was caught just inside the blast radius, and down she went. I was about to move on when I saw her squirming on her back in agony. So I did what any good person would do. I pulled out the hand gun and gave her a double tap to the face.
Grawesome!

While I never bothered with multiplayer, I LOVED the single player campaign in GRAW. It had its share of issues, but there were some truly incredible missions in there (that rail yard mission was probably my favorite, actually).
If it takes everything good about the original and kicks it up a notch, I may just have to give it a shot.
