Just doing the math. 1000 recharges at 8 hours per charge = 8000 hours, divided by 24 hours in a day means you could run the new MacBook Pro for 333 days straight. Let's say you used it 8 hours a day that means 1000 days. Who cares if the battery lasts 5 years if you're going to burn it out in under 3!?

This is definantly tech worth sitting back for and seeing how it plays out (the battery). I have never, ever had a device with a Li-on battery (I know this tech is different) that actually delivered what it says on the spec sheet. Give it 12 months and I really want to see how it fares, and how Apple handles the replacements. It looks to be a big step in the right direction though.
