Nice ava, robert :lol !!!

yeah I am such a kojima production whore after this Gameplay trailer:D

For all of those complaining about the different filters and which one you liked best....

Isn't it possible that the game will LET you pick the filter you want? Under Options?

At least, that would be a really neat feature....

they're weapons of the PMC's, they fly by and drop bombs

Those PMC bombers are very Nausicaa-like though. Maybe not exactly Nausicaa only; but I've seen that curved wing design somewhere. I think Macross Zero.

I don't see the point of an iPhone unless you're into pop culture and Apple. It's a good phone, but not the end all of phones, there are other solutions out there. Not to mention that the battery may die out before some customers' service plans run out, that would suck. How are they going to replace the battery efficiently? You can't send in your phone for more than a day without it becoming a major inconvenience.

Back on topic, the MGO pics look hot, I missed them earlier.

I don't want to derail this awesome thread, but I bought the iPhone because I like it. It does what I need it to do, and it does it efficiently. I don't think it's the end all of phones, nor do I think it's an amazing piece of tech. And by the by, I hate Apple with a deep passion, and pop culture is stupid.

You can watch youtube videos on a PS3.

Ah, but can you carry the PS3 in your pocket and make calls with it?

And don't rebut with "Can you connect your iPhone to a 1080p HDTV and play MGS4 on it?" I know I can't, but that's the choice I made.

Well you could carry around a ps3 in a backpack and make calls with it.

Or you could buy get a free phone for signing up with a service. I don't think you can get a free PS3 yet.

STFU with the iPhones already.

That youtube video was good for the first 45 seconds. It got old fast though....

I was expecting graphical glitches followed by a red ring on the screen or something.... ;)

Can't believe you bought an iPhone...such a waste of money.

That video was the single best thing I've seen. MGS4 is set to be the best in the series by far. Goddamn the graphics are breathtaking.

pretty much agree...this looks so much better than previous games, and Ive always enjoyed MGS

yeah I agree. This game is going to be amazing. Despite how good the previous MGS games were, this looks like a HUGE step forward in the MGS series.

The gameplay is what has me excited. The graphics are awesome but little stuff like the Octo-camo, over-the-shoulder camera, all of Snake's new moves, the atmosphere, everything looks so freaking awesome.

Edit: Was the part when MKII spun out of control a jab at the random Sixaxis spasms? That'd be awesome if it were.:lol

I just watched it on my surround sound system. Had to pipe it through my 360 cause of the stupid PS3 bug with the XMB and 5.1.

shit my pants when the explosions were going off :lol

if anyone could translate the weapon selection descriptions..... we might get a hint on the controls since mgs3 had control instructions in it's weapon descriptions.

im just sayin

looks absolutly great and not just visually, but also from a gameplay perspective. I for one am glad that it's still MGS in the sense that they're building on the "old" mechanics.

On a side note.. I clearly remember that the little robot guy in the cutscene, that was also in the very first trailer, animated a little bit more expressive the first time around and if I am not mistaken it was already running on a PS3 devkit back then... seems a little weird.

The gameplay demonstration was awesome. It was the first thing I've watched this morning after waking up (left the PS3 on to download it from the JPN store) and really, it was awesome and funny too (Snake was using a sixaxis to control the Mk2 --did I get the name right?-- right?).

up until the part where he joins in the two factions fighting, I was like 'well this looks pretty good, but i'm not blown away. plus it doesn't seem to be anything special play wise.'

but then my god! My GOD!

I know people will bite my head off for this, but using sound and visuals like that is better for me than hard rumbling. The rumble annoys me especially when I can hear the buttons rattle. But on the sound, and screen shaking like that is what I expected to be done. It's not like we're used to feeling games. There is no cool touch controller for ice, water, sky flying games. There is no hot touch for hell, fire, murky rainforest like games. But give us fog coming out of our mouth, make the character react to the cold. Give us sweat and a heat blur effect seen in summer roads.

When rumble is back I hope they use it wisely. Don't need too much rumble to know you got shot. One spin of the small weight would be enough.

Kojima is the KING of rumble. Don't you worry ;)

Totally agree, although we haven't seen Immersion's "next-gen rumble" yet.
