just curious; has anyone who got a console May or after had any probelms?

I got mine at the beginning of April, and aside from a couple of lockups in Oblivion, I've had no problems. The lockups in Oblivion seem like the norm anyway.

Pre-launch 360 that has been vertical the entire time.. no air blown into vents and it's locked up twice. Once in Oblivion, once in NFS:MW demo. Mine is either setup on a laminate floor with lots of ventilation, or at my friend's on top of his old woodcased RCA floor model.

Launch premium system went belly up, called MS they told me that I would have to wait for a box or that I could ship on my dime, I said no thank you marched on over to Target bought a new premium and then returned it with the defective unit.

I got mine on launch day and have yet to experience one lockup, crash, or red light. Try placing the system on something other than a washing machine, or a wine cooler.

I got one in April and it was dead by May. Sadly, it was like 6 days outside the refund window at Circuit City, so I had to wait over 2 weeks to get a replacement that's been functioning terribly since and has scratched up Madden and Burnout for me. It's such a hassle complaining though, so I dunno what to do. :(

So whatever happened to EGM92? Did he ever confess to the lie?
Yeah. He confessed in IRC

Keep bitching to MS customer service. I'm telling you guys, that's the key!

Your reading comprehension is terrible.

He stated TWICE that it's not a subwoofer. He's got it on top of a wine cooler, and his subwoofer is built into his TV. Damn, I read that hours and hours ago and I can still remember it.

:lol

Haha, I noticed that, too, Bud.

Yes and only a 4 week ban decided by MAF since he busted him.
I don't think MAF busted him. He's just taking the credit.

I keep wanting to buy a 360, but I'm so afraid it will end my perfect streak of flawless electronics. Hopefully they stealthily release a hardware revision before August 8th.

Bought one in late june from Best Buy; had a bad power supply. 360 sent vertical scan lines running up the TV, and produced loud buzzing out of the set's speakers. If I fiddled with the power supply cables, the interference would go away for awhile...then come back. Exchanged it, problem solved.

Pepsi promo unit died w/ GRAW update
1st refurb replacement died after a week
2nd refurb replacement is currently starting to limp

I'll probably be on to my 4th by August, especially with all the time I'm starting to put into Chromehounds. I keep it in a well ventilated area, and dust isn't an issue in my home. I just think these things are overly fragile.

Overly fragile or Microsoft never had time to test them over extended periods of usage. Think about it, they went from paper to assembly line in like three months. I don't think they had enough time to test these things to see if they would hold up over repeated use.

We're all their guinea pigs.

I had a pet guniea pig once. She lived to be 11, which I guess is exceptionally old for a guinea pig. Nice story, huh?

That's exactly what I did yesterday.

the question is: what are YOU doing to you xbox360?

nothing really...it's been in the same place for the last 8 months..On top of my Xbox and below my PS2.

I didnt make the pic, but I had the balls to call him out in a thread and destroy him like the little ant he was. I never claimed I created the picture, in fact I believe I mentioned the subwoofer was found out by someone else.

Seriously though, if you can call a guy out for lying, you should do it every time. Good work, now go buy Chromehounds.
