the same limitation he had against the giants? he did pretty well overall, but westbrook shares minutes with buck and moats might play some this week so u never know.

What the heck is your problem? I'm just going on what Yahoo said. And furthermore, if the Iggles go up big, Westbrook will definitely sit out. But then look at what the E-girls did to Tiki last week, shut him down.

Dear GAF, start Brian Westbrook or Frank Gore in fantasy?

Keep in mind that Westbrook is having knee problems and may be limited.

Our run defense has been amazing in the first 2 games. The problems on defense are in the secondary.

grossman = 8 passing TDs, thomas jones and benson combine for 600 yards on the ground, urlacher kills johnson/bollinger and then rips chester taylor's heart out of his chest and eats it. nathan vasher = 2 FG returns for TDs. brad childress = 3 tantrums, 2 press conference breakdowns, 1 suicide. mewelde moore = 1 good play that sparks hope followed by a wrist injury. chad greenway = retirement

that is how the game will look

Yeah this is pretty accurate. Except Grossman will have 10 TDs, not 8.

Reggie Brown compared the lingering effects of the giants game last week to a Turd, saying you just gotta flush it away.

Awesome.

That wont bring back Kearse. Cant really blame him though, hes the only starter I can think of that didnt drop any balls or make some idiotic game chaning mistake.

Well, I'm confident with the Colts, must represent in this thread. Colts has to be one of the most hated teams in the NFL, despite (or because) we have the great white hype (sad I would have to state that but this is reality). I can only hope that Jags get trashed to show that they don't belong, but then, this game is crucial because the titans and texans aren't going to help. So, go watch Peyton's commercials every other second and feel free to hate on us, it makes me all giddy inside!

I'm not trying to be funny or anything, but I thought you guys had pretty good depth on the defensive line?

We do but Kearse was on his way to having a career year. He was dominant in the first 2 games. Thanks to his athelitic ability we used him in all sorts of unique ways, there is no player on the roster that can fill his role. Now we have ultra-bust Mcdougle taking his place.

umm whats my problem? lol i just meant to say he had the same problem going into the giants game and he was fine and i think its just so he can sit out of practice during the week.

didnt mean anything else by it.

Actually, Trent Cole takes his place. McDougle is just in the rotation now

Surely Matt Jones is the great white hype? Manning has shown what he can do more than enough times to prove there's no hype about it - and more than enough times to deserve the sobriquet 'choke boy'.

Latest news out of Indianapolis is that Bob Sanders, Adam Vinatieri, Ben Hartsock, Corey Simon, Brandon Stokley and Josh Thomas are all definitely out, and that Dwight Freeney returned to practice but showed signs of pain. I guess that injury report wasn't entirely bogus after all...

Are the Iggles CBs healthy now? Antonio Bryant may be a sleeper pick if Alex Smith can stay vertical for 4 seconds.

Hell no. But I will die of shock if we lose to the 49ers. Our offense is gonna steamroll them.

Wellington said:
Are you ready for tomorrow's win compadre?
Definitely. I'm online IN PHILLY (:lol) and will be ready to watch the Giants get revenge and report on the mass suicides in Philadelphia when 49ers shock the world.

I'm biting the bullet and picking an Iggles player on my team. I will not name names, don't want any "Konex" heat if he doesn't do well. I do need some QB help for my picks though. I got Arm Hanging Chad Pennington cheap and I need a second QB. For some reason I can't bring myself to tab McNabb... I think San Francisco may shock some people.

If Corey Simon is out, that's great for us. He's the heart of their "what passes for" run defense.

Texans over Redskins? HA! Don't make me laugh. How about a little wager on the game? this time you wear the REAL Reggie Bush avatar?

I hope so, I'm starting him this week for my fantasy league
I don't know if I can bring myself to pick Grossman. He worries me a lot, when was the last time Bears had a QB worth picking on a fantasy team?

I don't have enough time to read the full thread, so hopefully this hasn't been said yet. But Mike Vick is going to finish the job Katrina started. An ass-whoopin of cataclysmic proportions. Ray Nagin better declare a state of emergency and give N'Orleans residents time to evacuate, b/c a storm's a comin'. What...too soon?

Oh yeah, Dolphins have worked the kinks out now. Everyone knows the first two games of the season don't matter anyway. It's how you win out that matters. Daunte is due too. Believe. PEACE.

Corey Simon is out. You can read all about it on the Colts website. I'd say this would drop their defence in the rankings, but really there's not much room for that to happen. :)

How is Steelers week been in Cincy so far? I find it humorous that the entire city gets geeked up to lose to the Steelers every year. Notice how there is no Bengals week on the Steelers calender. :D

P.S. Why are all of Marvin Lewis's middle linebackers always committing felonies? I have to go with Ben on this one.

LOL, Ha ha ha

You won't be so smug tomorrow after we win. Then you'll wish you looked forward to this game.

Yeah, the Texans and Raiders look very ****in stupid right now passing on Bush and Leinart respectively, given that biggest problem on each team are ones that Bush/Leinart could have fixed immediately. The Jets though, are looking smart for NOT going after Leinart and Pennington looks like he is back, and Brick is playing well for a rookie LT.

I was 12-4 with my picks last week...even with the spread factored in I would've cleaned up.

God damnit I get the Colts and Giants games tomorrow, and that's it. I'm sick of the ****ing Giants and the ****ing Mannings, jesus

Yeah well I am ****ing sick of you, and the white sox, and the Bears!

:lol !!!

Baltimore v Cleveland smells like an upset game. Perhaps, the Brownies will come out with a little fire. The Ravens offense didn't really do much in that Oakland win if you take away the Raiders O imploding over and over.

I hate this week.. I just keep looking at my picks and I'm taking way to many road teams. There are some tough decisions in there too.. Indy/Jax, Pitt/Cinci. Bears/Vikes a bit too.

edit: I went 13-3 in the dumbed down league last week, but I think I'm going to take a beating this week. Glad, I dropped out of the confidence league because i don't feel confident about any of my picks really

who else is tired by those monday night espn commercials? they were cool when i saw the first 2 or 3 but now they are really annoying.

esp the one they show on sunday going "sunday is about the pigskin and chores" and monday is supposedly all about football...no jerks monday is only about football if ur team is playing.

KEARSE INJURY WORSE THAN REPORTED

FOX's Jay Glazer reports that the knee injury to Eagles defensive end Jevon Kearse is worse than initially reported.

In addition to a torn MCL and two other partially torn knee ligaments, Kearse popped his hamstring tendon, dislocated his kneecap, and cracked his tibia.

It'll be a long road back for Kearse, even without a fully torn ACL. And as Glazer said, a little more rotation of the knee might have ended his career.

Damn.

They called him Mr. Glass. He's a Gator, and was indeed a phenom, but he's brittle as anything. Time to hang it up Freak. :( PEACE.

WTF are you talking about? I dont think he has missed a game as an Eagle till now. And that play would have ended anyone. And like I said, that game is going to hurt for a long time. It should have never gotten anywhere near overtime.

u never know...with the recovery times he might be back next yr ready to play. thank god we have some depth at the line but man we suffer one serious injury to a major player every single yr. going back to duce, then mcnabb, westbrook, hugh douglas, TO, mcnabb again, and now kearse.

Of course, the big question of the afternoon is what avatar bionic77 will have after the first game. He's needing wins from the Steelers and the Colts to get his Big Ben avatar back...

Kearse hasn't played 16 games in a season sice 2001. Which, in some sort of grand cosmic coincidence, is the last time he had double digit sacks.
