You think I have avatar talent? For God Sake's man, look at mah shit!

You're talking about a .gif instead of a regular sized avatar?

Ror: Well, I didn't want that cancer on my team, and I've got Matty and Rexy on my team, 3rd team QB isn't that important except for health reasons

Eminem we still on for the avatar bet next week? I'll let you back out after seeing the giants/hawks game today. You know if you're scared. ;)

Well you made yours! :) I dig on yours. Anyways I just want him to have a moving avatar of awesome hawks.

It'd be tomorrow before I bother to start working on one. On the East Coast, work tomorrow, etc etc

Yeah we're still on. We got our game of suck out of the way today, and Seattle can only go downhill from here.

Ok cool. Good luck with your offense that's going downhill and our defense soaring baby! This will be a great game...for me. haha

Surely mentioned already, but Simms is out at least 6 weeks. Looks like we get to see how Gradkowski can do in a full game starting next week. Could get ugly, but he could be the next Big Ben.

David Garrard. Still open for trade!

Woo, on track to being 10-4 for this week.

Apparently the Seahawks used their trusty gameplan of running up the score as much as possible in 3 quarters, then seeing if the other team can match it in 1.

Wouldn't that be the same thing?

That blocked field goal ended up being pretty huge. Oh well, hopefully that will be the last time the Pats see the Broncos this season. Shanahan seems nearly impervious to the holy powers of Belichick and Brady.

This team is going to get killed by Cincinnati next week. :(

Spectral Glider said:
Yeah it is. If a guy just gets caught up in the wash, it's ok. But a direct hit to knock a defender off his intended path is illegal.

The ball was in the recievers hands before anyone touched him (the defender), not even close to a pick play.

No shit. I actually wish tonight was a blowout so they'd wake the hell up. And :lol @ Gabriel diving on the grass when he could have stepped out of bounds. I think he is too satisfied just being out of Oakland.

Denver's offense looked decent for once, not great, but not embarassing like the two previous weeks. I didn't realize that Denver had won 5 out of 6 meetings with the pats. Mainly because the only Broncos/Pats game I have in my mind was that one a few years back where Bellichick took a safety by snapping the ball out of the back of the endzone, betting that the Broncos would go 3 and out, and they did and the Pats ended up driving down the field and scoring. I didn't know a whole lot about Bellichick then but after watching that I had to give the guy props. That game really stung me for some reason.

Dawkins got his though. When a team has 1st and goal on the 1 and you almost singlehandedly shut down their "star" back, thats impressive. Even Dawk is human though, I think he just ran out of energy on the 2nd drive. :) He should have clubed Lewis for blowing yet another coverage. Thats 3 blown coverages and 3 tds in 3 weeks against him.

Youtube of Gore getting owned for the final time.

Holy shit, I would love to be in the booth with Merrill Reese during a game. The guy epitomizes great broadcasting.

"Brunell's 88.8 completion percentage was achieved with a quick drop and a quick release and receivers who ran through the Texans' silk curtain defense.

"That's disgusting," cornerback Dunta Robinson said. "What else can go wrong? If we don't play better, we're going to be the laughingstock of the NFL again."

Too late Dunta,too f-ing late.

Quick drop and Quick Release?

Brunell?

Wow.....your pass rush must really suck. You should build that through the draft!

You think Cocklin will last the season?

Coughlin was practically shouting from a podium after the game. Sweat was running down his face at the thought of Eli Manning's two first-quarter interceptions, a lost fumble and a 35-0 first-half hole that was the largest in New York's 82-year history.

"We just gave the game away," Coughlin said. "A team that does nothing but preach and talk about turnovers, we turn it over like nothing matters, nothing counts. It cost us the game.

"We started the game and lost our composure again up front and had a couple of foolish penalties ... We had what we thought was a good game plan together. And obviously we didn't execute."

Shockey, who had four catches for 58 yards, stewed in the locker room by himself before being told of Coughlin's comments.

"They were in different defenses than we thought they were going to be in. They did different things that we haven't seen," he said. "You can make adjustments all you want, but when they do new things and they switch things up, you really can't do anything."

Shockey pointed out how well Manning played on New York's final scoring drive. Manning exclusively used the no-huddle offense to move 94 yards, a drive that ended with his 9-yard touchdown to David Tyree.

Manning thrived in the no-huddle to rally past the Eagles last weekend. On Sunday, Manning was 2-of-7 for minus-1 yards and the two interceptions in a conventional offense during an awful first quarter, when Seattle led 21-0. He was 20-for-26 for 238 yards after that.

I didn't know a whole lot about Bellichick then but after watching that I had to give the guy props. That game really stung me for some reason.

Everytime we play the Pats I remember that goddamned play and feel that we're one bad play from completely blowing it. Anyway it was nice to see the defense in top form once again, and it looks like the o-line is finnaly meshing, giving plummer more time and giving the runners better lanes, so the offense looks to be on its way. Shannahan was still pretty conservative from what I could tell, especially with the lead, but a win is a win.

People won't recognize it. Sorry for the late reply, I went drinking. Oh well, it looks like it should already be in effect. I would have just given him a Favre avatar. He would love it.

That guy's a jobber. Gradkowski looked fantastic in the preseason -- it's not the same thing as the regular season, but it's a good sign. He certainly was much better than The Rat was and that's why he got the backup job.

So the fact that Manning moved the ball in a blowout when the opposing defense was in prevent proves what exactly? Shockey is an idiot.

What the hell is wrong with this guy.. we play the softest zones I've ever seen and Im sick of seeing mediocre or above average players having Career days against this defense..

Tim Lewis isnt using our strengths and it is bringing tons of weaknesses. We dont blitz, we dont cover the middle of the field or the flat. The onyl thing we do good is stop the run. This is the worst scheme I have ever seen in my life and the players arent really helping that either. This is the worst zone play I have ever seen in my life.

If teams would pass every down I truly believe they would have success and that is pitiful. Our defense at this point.. Is the worst in the league against the pass.. Lewis is putting too much on Stra and Osi to create pressure and getting them gassed because there is no imagination in the blitzes or anything.

There is no hidden looks.. What you see is what you get and thats why we're getting burned. Tim Lewis' is a moron. Wide open recievers all day..

You heard of the Cover 2 and the Cover 3.. Tim Lewis has succesfully installed into this Giant defense and ivented the amazing 'Cover No-One' Defense
Quite.

lol because most of the league either picked the ravens or dolphins. can you imagine if those two teams lost? the league would be down to 2 players i believe (maybe 4, i didn't check) :lol

Five players. But then three of them picked Carolina, who only won by a late field goal and a ruptured spleen. It was only those of us who picked Houston who were completely safe this week. :D

think the survival league will last all 17 weeks?

Gonna guess no. They'll probably be one week where like 60% of the league drops because of some huge upset, and then after that it'll go on until like weeks 12-14 when it's to the point where you're picking really bad teams out of lack of better options.

I mean, to last 17 weeks you'd have to pick weeks when Houston, Detroit, Green Bay, and Oakland win. Good luck with that

Walker beat Ellis Hobbs’ tight coverage for a 32-yard strike in the second quarter, then made the final 13 minutes academic with an 83-yard catch and run between Asante Samuel and James Sanders in the fourth quarter that made it 17-0.

“I got my hand on it,” Hobbs said. “Nine times out of eight I knock that ball down, but tonight the odds weren’t with me.”

This guy has a 110% success rate!
