Bah, Hasselbeck's carried the team before in the playoffs, and he can do it again against the bears.

I hear that, this is just getting creepy and this coming from me who has never been superstitous and laughed at the idea, really weird
Consider the rate at which players get injured when they are not on the cover(look at Clinton Portis, Steve Smith, etc, etc, etc), and it all boils down to a simple case of spotlighting and selective memory. The Raiders have completely fallen apart yet it didn't take a curse to do it(although WasabiKing's boycott of madden might come close).

Hahaha...Guess I was right. And yep, wining the division doesnt matter, I mean your more worried about the Bears record right? Like I said, I can just tell your from philly, only you idiots think like this.
You're a grade A moron. I'm gonna stop responding to you, as your sarcasm detector is broke and you're not making sense. Nobody cares about divisional records or Bears (WTF did that come from) records if the overall record are not the same.

Wow, at Alexander. Nobody saw that coming.

:lol We got a capable back up and we got a devastating WR core. You've got grossman. Game over man...game over!
:lol I must have missed the memo where it says that if you put one solid WR with injury problems into a game with 3 guys who've never been more than glorified #2s, it's a "devastating WR core".

has there ever been a scenario where a player has:

-appeared on Madden
-lost the Super Bowl previous year AND
-is cloudy's favorite player

i wonder what would happen

That would be the day the world is sucked through a black hole.

Branch, Burelson, Engram and Jackson are all capable of 1000 yard seasons. You put 4 WR with 1000 yard potential on the field you got something special my friend.

Not to mention one of the best QBs in the NFL.

Just ask wellington. He'll tell you all about it. :D

Super Bowl loser curse?
Reaching. I mean their fall from plain mediocrity to utter tragedy. Regardless, teams go up and down all the time, and it'd be more suprising for any given team who did well in a given year to not fall short in some conceivable fashion in the next year(Steelers, Carolina, Tampa Bay, Washington, and NYG were all playoff teams last year).

lol was anybody listening to espn just now?

mike ditka and i think jaws were discussing some poll. ditka said "at least im smarter than the people who watch this show." then there a moment of silence, and jaws said "well that aint saying much", then another few seconds of silence. then they just cut away to something totally different.

sounded like they didnt know their mics were on :lol

Much as I miss mike, him being our O-coordinator wouldve resulted in 6-7 picks for Bulger by now. :( Our offensive line is weak and we dont need 5-7 step drops, Bulger would be killed
literally

good point, we'd probably have 20-30 more points, but bulger would be down a spleen at least.

touch choice lol

But really, we need more time to buy into the system and winning should help that. This shit cant continue though, we have to many weapons for our offense to be stalling out in the RZ. We need to get out of these 2-wide sets inside the 20 yard line, thats the thing killing us.

its just crazy tho, jackson just doesnt get any holes to run thru in the RZ. i really liked that fade/over the top catch by holt for the TD. linehan needs to quit running this damned rollout/pass to holt in the back of the endzone play too.

how about pace and barron on one side, with timmerman pulling? how about some quick slants to torry? how about some TE crossing routes or comeback routes? our offense is too predictable right now in the RZ

edit: hell what about that roll-out right, throwback left screen to the TE that brandon manu scored on a few times?

Fantasy teams everywhere cry

Oh that works perfectly for the Bears...so far they "haven't really played anyone" and now when they beat Seattle it won't be a big deal because it was without Alexander

Did we forget the redskins game last year? Now, I hate Hasselskank to the core but he had no problems lighting up that "great" defense from Washington. Your team is carbon copy of them...

Still hope you whip their ass though.

I vote Tom Brady as next year's Madden cover athelete.. But I doubt anyone will want to be on the cover next year..Forcing Madden to do it himself..Its been nice knowing you John!

I don't think Tom Jackson understands what "Catch-22" means.

He just said Michael Vick's Catch-22 is "Can he stay healthy?"

What?

And also I nominate Peyton Manning for Madden.

ive always thought TJ was an idiot

Goddamn, I don't want Katrina footage. Nobody wants to be depressed before an NFL game, especially those fans who are about to lose(Saints).

does anyone else find all this celebration a bit uneasy? You're all still poor, sick and homeless, but hey at least we're back to playing football! CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES C'MON!

So....I'm not sure I understand this.....when you think of New Orleans music, when do you think of U2 and Green Day?

I mean....they're pretty much the antithesis of bluegrass and creole.

I ****ing KNEW it'd be this song or We are the Waiting.

Sounds like the World Cup.

Wait.....is Bono even there? Is it just the other guys from U2?:lol :lol :lol

Oh there he is.....the bastard.

They should've just gotten a brass section and gone to town, I love New Orleans music:)

Damn Yahoo!, you really like posting negative articles about teams when they don't need them.

Forgotston, the political watchdog, and Marie Knutson, the former booster club president, are among those who think many fans used money from insurance settlements or from FEMA to pay for season tickets. It's the same source of money cited for soaring profits at Harrah's casino downtown, and money that could disappear by next year. Furthermore, the Saints stress the need for support from the local business community, yet it's unclear what the business community will look like in the coming years.
