We're not "whiny cunts", the font size looks dumb on a 1080p set. Granted I haven't explored much beyond the aesthetics, but it looks craptacular so far.

Meh, my only serious complaint is the questionable grey borders in the friends list. Keep in mind that they will build off of this update so it should get better. I don't mind the new font, but that's probably because I play on a poor person's TV.

Agreed. I think it's fine, but there should be an option to switch from small/large icons and small/large text.. I like the larger icons, I would keep that, though if I had the option I might switch the text size back.. it's not a big deal for me either way though.

I just noticed, some people might have their screens a little bit more zoomed in than it should be, making the text appear even larger than they're supposed to. I'm using a Samsung and my "p.size" is set to "just scan" rather than "16:9"..

The larger icons/text is nice for certain custom themes though IMO, such as Aniom/Taiga.

Yeah, that's the first thing I noticed. But that is the ONLY 'benefit' to having those ugly boxes around each name.. they could've fit in everyones status as well, plus their levels.. though the addition was a last minute change from what i'm hearing so im sure they'll fix it/alter it in the future.

It was something I didn't like in the beginning, and if I were on maybe 20 minutes ago I would have joined the complainers.

Obviously, complainers are all just people who are on GAF all the time and the second they get something different they explode all over the internet.

That said, I still would like to make it smaller out of personal preference. I like having really nice, awesome wallpapers, and the smaller the icons the more I can see my awesome wallpaper. Makes sense, rite?

But I dont care, because the only thing I want is a better music player and music library menu. I have albums that have multiple artists, etc. and the current system is ridiculously clumsy. You'd think with all those SIX SUPER POWERED CELLS, the names and icons would at least load as Im scroll, ffs.

Under the avatar settings they have a "Premium Avatars" option now. Right now it just says

If you can't access XMB in-music

Go to Music Settings: Output Frequency, and set it to 48 kHZ.

This one gave me a scare.

Other that the subject, PSN messages icons show the first line of main text as well. (Edit: This only applies to message list specific to a given contact brought up via the new Profile icon. General message box doesnt show first line of txt and neither does the contact specific list brought up via Triangle > Message List)

Due to huge Subject font size tho, first line of message and date overlap a bit.

sony failed SO hard after all the good work with ps3 fw! what happened to my user friendlyness of a clean XMB UI? now when i see the ps3 screen i got a sense of disgust!
