So how did you know that it will come next year half finished? We haven't seen any build of this game yet.
You quoted the answer to that before you asked this question. So how did you know that it will come next year half finished?
Looks like the Delay was a good thing
Like clockwork with these dudes. They must be powered by Captain Hindsight.Ah Mr. 'I already knew this', but didn't say anything because you'd rather read about the rantings of purple haired, nose studded junior devs angry at being asked to work.
It's not even that, I was 100% convinced it would be this year because they kept reiterating the release date even on the latest Starfield diary video, idk why you would do that if you think it's not gonna be finished in time.YES! I would have bet a month ban that at the very least Starfield was coming, since it was being worked on for years before MS stepped into the picture.
My Xbox Fridge is more useful than the console at this point.![]()
Power your dreams…….next year. What a shitshow, seriously glad as I was about to bite on a Series X soon. I'll just wait until there are some exclusives stacked up in 2025 and pick one up cheap.
Wasnt crackdown 3 delayed?
Yeah it's definitely dodgy, particularly waiting so late in the case of Redfall, and keeping the November date for Starfield up until a few weeks ago. People who criticised Sony for saying GoW 2021 should have the same energy here. The management announced that date, despite reservations by developers, because they wanted to keep the console sales going.
Imagine if they announced 2023 for both Redfall and Starfield. People who bought an Xbox in 2022 to play Starfield this fall wouldn't have bought it. It's dirty, but that's how businesses usually do.
But Uncle Phil tickles our feel-good hype sensors. This isn't a "modern gaming" problem; there is a managerial issue at the top of Xbox division when it comes to keeping games on track, overpromising and underdelivering. There was no reason to plaster Nov. 12, 2022 for Starfield if they weren't 100% sure they would hit that date, it makes these video vignettes look very stupid in retrospect.
Nintendo doesn't really have this issue. Sony doesn't really have this issue. Majority of the big 3P publishers don't have this issue. This specific issue of promising things and not delivering on what was promised (in this case, hard-set release dates). This is a unique issue and Microsoft are one of the few companies who continuously suffer from it.
But Uncle Phil tickles our feel-good hype sensors.
He will have a well prepared, ambiguous statement that will soothe the burns like a well-prepared lavender salve. One we will all cheer on either later today, or in the coming days.

Maybe for some; they're getting the side-eye from me unless that statement is a gameplay video or Hellblade II for Fall![]()
And Age of Empires is still PC only isn't it?To be fair it's been a shit 5 years.
Look at the 5 year output of any other console and there are a ton of exclusives.
The last 5 years of Xbox bas been dreadful:
Battletoads
Gears 5
Crackdown 3
Forza Horizon 4
Forza Motorsport 7
Sea of Thieves
State of Decay 2
Gears Tactics
MS Flight Simulator
Halo Infinite
Forza Horizon 5
Age of Empires 4
that's pretty much it on the last 5 years. Terrible!
I doubt it but it hardly makes any diference, there was no gameplay. These days you can do a lot in-engine.that trailer was CG wasnt it ?
*anywhere, well not "anywhere", just "anywhere we provide of our stretched definition of semantical word-play that will make any politician blush."He'll say it's important that people can play games anywhere.*
Then he'll buy EA.
5 years? You are being too kind to then. That is why I have such a disconect with Xbox fans. I was already frustrated by their lack of quality games as a 360 owner since the early Kinect days if not earlier. To be fair it's been a shit 5 years.

We really should have known better...showcasing concept art for a game releasing in 7 months??Can't say I'm surprised considering how little of Starfield we've seen

That's more than we had seen of Fallout 4We really should have known better...showcasing concept art for a game releasing in 7 months??
Kind of a red flag...
Just realized my GamePass sub will probably run out before these games launch now..
