you'd think from the title that it's an entry on a "games that will save the Vita" list but it's actually far better than that
Well, what defines an RPG to you?
This thread is too much. I'm just going to sit on the sidelines for now.
Last year.
You're not wrong, but at least I know on PS4 I'll get new IPs too.
All this fuss over that comment? : /
I wonder if his parents even care that he was banned.
gaf bans will out number third party support for the Wii U

I have a friend who considers Assassin's Creed an RPG
the last of us should be pretty good. beyond will probably be horrendous, but that's okay because it comes with this warning label:

It is just an announcet to an event in a Google ad, it probably isnt that big. But i agree with what you say, it is better to focus on your own product instead. I think this will be the case when the real PS4 ad campaign start, that they will only focus on what it has to offer. Why? Because I think that gaming companies should spend more time celebrating and promoting their own creations rather than attacking the creations of other companies?
You mean that charcoal rubbing Uncharted spinoff? I don't think that counts as the gameplay is pretty different from the console versions.
IF you are going to judge the differences between games based on three separate 'screenshots'...you have a bigger problem in your hands. It's even worse considering you remove visual differences from the equation lol Comparing screens but no difference other than visual differences? You don't say
Nintendo's software shits on Sony's from a great height.
I can't wait for another cinematic first person shooter. Cinematic third person shooter. Cinematic action brawler. Cinematic racer. Oh gosh, what next!
Stat-based character progression, bare minimum. Zelda is item-based, so was ACII.
This is just one weird way to express hype for the 20th.
I'm sure there's some kinect stuff in there as well- kinectimals? whatever?
That's what they should be doing - talking shit about mobile games. And on Durango
And on the Wii U
And on the iPad
And on Android
Mr. Iwata will respond when he hears of this, mark my words. Nintendo does not suffer insults.

I'll be honest I thought the post was hilarious until I realized he didn't mean for it to be.
the "is zelda an RPG" argument goes back to the 16 bit era, and I don't think its ever been settled one way or the other.
Never thought the WiiU would get as amazing jokes as the Vita gets.

We don't even know if this short comment is even from Sony's official marketing agency.
There is a chance that it is definitely, but we don't know for sure.

i missed kinect sports 2, apparently. i don't know if kinectimals has had a sequel.

Well, to be honest I had quite some fun "playing" or better said experiencing Heavy Rain.
As a matter of fact, I had more fun with this interactive movie than with any Nintendo game which came out in the last 5 years (that was not a remake).
The last time a Nintendo game that managed to touch me on an emotional level like Heavy Rain did was in 2006 actually. It was Twilight Princess, the last outstanding BigN game for me.
I still have some faith in Miyamoto though. He is the one of the few left in this company who values good gameplay and innovation over infantile storytelling and assembly-line production.

The only time Zelda could ever have been considered a RPG is now, since AAA western studios have done their best to destroy real RPGs and the genre name means nothing anymore.
NSMB games have stuck to one per platform even during the DS and Wii heyday when they probably could have snuck one or two more in there. If NSMB2 and U's numbers are any indication, Nintendo almost certainly won't return to that well so quickly.
