Lookit all dem horses.

Streets back then must've reeked of shit.

Not to mention the smell of tanning factories, omnipresent soot and so on. Worse rate of Road Traffic Accidents back then too.

The footage of The City was the best, and hearing the first recording of Big Ben made me well up a bit...I miss my town...

Most of the main roads in the City have been around since the Romans. The names generally give the names of the industry/trade that used to populate them, which is why you have streetnames like Poultry and Threadneedle Street.

I love how much of that old architecture has been preserved through the centuries. It's so amazing how a lot of that was built given the primitive technology (by today's standards) workers had back then.
