Yeah, so it was not improved. I had this in alpha, basically below 100 fps it was not really playable for me.The game also suffers from shitloads of input lag at 60 fps so doubling the framerate mitigates it somewhat.
It doesn't really 'fix' the input lag, it just reduces it so it's a bit more manageable
the mouse is still very floaty at 120 fps for me (much less than at 60, but it's still bad)
Go back and forth between overwatch and cs:go or dirty bomb or even battlefield (which also suffers from some input lag) and the difference is night and day.
The input lag is the main thing putting me off from overwatch right now, it's just not enjoyable to me to have to fight the controls like this.
i5 6600K @ 4,4GHz
16GB DDR4
980Ti
Settings: 1080p @ 150% render scale and everything else either turner on or set to max. I set "Limit FPS" to display-based.
Performance: Locked 70FPS no matter what.
70-90fps unlocked, but I just lock it to 60 for my TV. Game looks amazing.
How are you locking it to 60? Through nVidia control panel?
In-game frame limit is monitor refresh + 10hz.
I have the same system - should I have triple buffering on or off?i7 6700K
GTX 980 Ti
16GB RAM
All max/epic settings at 122% render scale. Getting 60+ fps at 1440p.
I have the same system - should I have triple buffering on or off?
I have Gsync so I know to turn off Vsync, but what exactly does triple buffering even do in this game, or in any game?On (+ VSync) if you don't have a G-Sync monitor.
Off to both otherwise.
For some reason, I can't get steady 144 FPS even with V-Sync on.
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4690K CPU @ 3.50GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.5GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970

Currently playing on Ultra (preset) and my FPS hover between 120 and 150. Doesn't look jittery, but I'd rather stay constant. Any suggestions on what I can do?
i5-3570k, GTX 970, I can play Epic with no issues. It seems pretty well optimized.
strange... I just noticed for some reason now at the start screen and in the options my fps go down from 144 to 70 regardless of what settings I change. Anyone else encounter a similar problems with fps lowering on random screens?
I think the start screen, character select, and any other screen using the higher-quality character models are all locked at 60-70fps. Seems to be hard-coded that way, which makes sense since there's no reason to tax the GPU rendering hundreds of frames for a menu screen.
