I love that spot and the little overhanging platform on the left side outside the door on the last point (Its partially blocked by a tree/foilage too), I have gotten so many clutch Torb holds there.

I like him a lot on defense in this map, except for the 2nd checkpoint.

He's just so fun to play overall. I kinda got tired of this game because in comp it's always the same shit since I try to be a good teammate in terms of character picks (primary tank, d.va before the dm nerf, healer, hitscan, etc).

I think all of this is true, haha. I used to OTP Roadhog, but I tried picking him this week and he just feels awful to play still.

Hog is awesome atm. I don't know if he got an undocumented buff or if it's just me that got better but I'm one-shotting 200hp most of the times like before. I said this before but I made fun of the healing buff and now I feel pretty dumb because it's actually extremely useful. You don't feed as much since you take half damage and have a much higher survivability.

Now if only we could get the 6s hook cooldown back...

As someone who outside of flexing considered themself a Winston main, I'm definitely a D.va main now. Her new playstyle feels like an even more strict version of Winston's diving, but she can put out such a stupid amount of damage quickly, plus she's good against Orissa and Rein's shields.

Also Roadhog is in just such a weird place. I never seem to be average with him anymore, I'm either on fire with a 70%+ hook rate and double or triple ult kills, or I'm getting my fat blasted off by a Tracer and Genji and have to swap before my teammates realize why the enemy are getting their ults so fast.

he is easy mode. only people who are bad and think overwatch in general is a high skill game think genji is hard

I have played since launch, placed in GM, and still can't play Genji to save my fucking life, same for Tracer. There definitely is a skill level and mentality required to be good as them. The difference between an average Genji (Me) and someone like a Top 500 or a true Mainer is absolutely insane. I have had teams fall apart because the enemy Genji was popping ults on us every 30-45 seconds and even with a Winston we couldnt deal with him before he got our healers.

I think the Roadhog polarization is directly related to his damage nerf. You can't kill things alone, so if you get a team that isn't very supportive everything feels janky. That's the main reason I'm not into him anymore. It's not that I want to be able to kill everyone 1v1. I am enjoying Orisa, and she's terrible at 1v1. But Orisa is firing into the crowd to suck people into LoS for your team to shoot, and there's a huge slow tell for everyone to follow. If no one backs you up, it's irksome, but you don't suffer for it. In contrast, when no one follows up on my hooks I feel like I actively made my team's situation worse, and it's infuriating.

Nah. I only play tanks, so usually my thought is "Don't you have something better to do with your time?" When Ana ults me I actually get a bit angry.

he can do that because hes easy mode. he requires precisely zero mechanical skill or aim, can get almost 50% ult charge just by pressing deflect, and has by far the best dps ult in the game

I'm aggressive, too, but I picked D.va in particular situations and now I kind of can't figure out why I want to pick her over other options.

Spend 30+ seconds engaging at the choke waiting for ults to fly, someone gets picked and I finally decide to back up, Ana fucking boosts me while all my skills are on CD and we are already at a disadvantage. Wat?

Also I always seem to get boosted on the randomest characters. Lucio? Boosted. Mercy? Boosted. Torb? Boosted. Reinhardt after saying "Earthshatter Ready" for the 10th time. Get it after I respawn after finally using my damn ult waiting for the Nano.

Discord and start your volley. He'll Wraith, at which point you cancel and run. It works less than half the time, but surviving is surviving.

after making it to my career high now im in the 3400s again,. some of it I'll admit i didnt play that well (but im only tank lol) but most of the matches were hilariously imbalanced. One match we lost was against a legit Platinum player because one of our guys left. The universe was not on my side today. Lot more toxicity today and i even saw thrower. Must be the event. No more comp for me for another week i guess

I'm trying to play him more because of his awesome skin, and he's pretty effective if you can land shots, but I can only sometimes make that work.

Ana has a similar problem of needing to be accurate, but at least she has a grenade and sleep dart to help her out. With McCree, you either land the shots or you don't.

Yeah at that level id mostly agree altho i dont think it comes down primarily to who has the better mercy. Its def an uphill battle if you dont have one and the enemy team does tho.

My brother popped D.Va's ult right as the Victory splash went up, and got 4 100% fire kills in the kill feed. PotG was a double with an enviro kill from earlier in the match.

I got placed around 2540 after going either 6-4 or 7-3. Won three games after and made it to a season high of 2614. Thinking to myself, okay, well, this is the season that I might push for Diamond. Immediately go on a losing streak so I dip to 2500, at that point I decide to take a break to play other things, come back and after two days of playing I'm at 2300. At this point I'm not even upset, I'm just playing to see how low I end up dipping at this point, because I'm on a 6 game losing streak (not counting a draw in the middle) and every game I get matched with people who aren't in group chat and don't know how to play the basic game of Overwatch. It is unreal how every game the enemy team has basic coordination down pat while my team can't do anything.

Also I'm really going to be glad for the Mercy nerfs whenever they come in because I'm tired of her being in every match...still. She's much more fun to play, but still always present and that's annoying.

I've encountered a few of these as Tracer as well and they are a bloody blessing. I've usually messaged them after the match to shower them with thanks. I can barely hit Roadhog with Ana.
