Yup that's the arc I thought. I dunno what to think of that.
Apparently
is long and
is short.
Apparently
Shinobu Mail
Hitagi Rendezvous
Senjougahara goes through a shift between Nise and Second Season, a pretty massive one. The first time she shows up is shocking because she's crying and having a panic attack about Hanekawa. There's the shower scene and stuff like that too.
Now I can kind of infer why Senjougahara changed like that - she finally came to terms with Kaiki or she cut her hair and it changed her personality because Nisio or whatever. But before Senjougahara would refer to Hanekawa as "Hanekawa-sama" and then quickly correct herself when Araragi noticed. I still don't understand why and why she no longer was seemingly afraid of Hanekawa (that she might steal Araragi away, maybe? That she felt like Hanekawa was merely loaning Araragi to her and that she could rather easily take him away?) or what Hanekawa even told her in the first place.
The two of them became friends and value each other beyound their shared connection with Araragi, Nekomonogatari made that quite clear. So Senjougahara learned what kind of person Hanekawa is and respects her accordingly.Alright this is stemming from a Twitter conversation and I forgot about it until now but there is one thing I don't get about the series. It's about Senjougahara, and also about Senjougahara and Hanekawa.

Any you know the best thing? The scene leads directly into this one from Nadeko Medusa where Nadeko meets Ougi the first time. And that jab about looking for Hachikuji... lol
Episode 12 (with recaps), Second Season. She was not looking for Nadeko, she right out states that she was looking for Hachikuji and (see screenshot in my other post) Nadeko is only a sideshow for her and she is annoyed that she is doing things "out of order".Also don't think Ougi meant she was looking for Hachikuji. I think she was actually looking for Nadeko. This is after Mayoi Jiangshi and before Nadeko Medusa, after all

I wonder if she can't find Hachikuji because this is the day Araragi picked to abduct her off the street and bring her to his house.
The official page did a better job in that regard.
edit: hold on, I arbitrarily blackened out the arcs that didn't run yet. Just left the calender stories.
Owarimonogatari takes place after Shinobu Time. Hachikuji is gone already. See the two posts below.
No, this is set one to two months after Shinobu Time happened. Ougi simply doesn't know that Hachikuji already moved on.I wonder if she can't find Hachikuji because this is the day Araragi picked to abduct her off the street and bring her to his house.
The novel expands a bit about the Fire Sisters not remembering her: there actually were several kids who had to stay at Araragi's for a little bit, at different times, and they're just not sure which one their brother is referring to (for the record, he doesn't remember any of them). Was Nadeko the only person that remembered Oikura at all? She did remember her right? Considering that the fire sisters didn't and that Ararararagi didn't, I'd almost think she never existed at all before Ougi came along.
It was for quite some time, but that's no true anymore: two of the three stories included in the recent Orokamonogatari are set after the events of Hanamonogatari.... So Hana is at the end of everything, even after Zokuowari, eh?
Also, just in case, the story so far (plus Kizumonogatari, 'cause that totally came out in 2012, right?):Owarimonogatari takes place after Shinobu Time. Hachikuji is gone already. See the two posts below.

She gets another story in Orokamonogatari (which she narrates, even).Aw, no more Oikura :/

(As far as I know, Shaft hasn't said anything about adapting further books after the Final Season, but it's likely they'll get there.)
We will all collectively push this show as AOTY.

In 2013 Second Season wasn't even on the top 10 so I wouldn't count on that
Well, 2013 was a much stronger year then 2015, too
Nadeko Snake was pretty bad on it's own, because the Snake and herself were terrible boring narrators, but I liked every other arc, because they all gave a new spin to what we thought after the first season.Second season was very rough around the edges and Nise soured a lot of people on the series.
Most of animegaf wrote off the season (and the series) before Kaiki's episode, which is basically the sole significant achievement of Monogatari Series.

I appreciate it for that and the fact that it's of course leads into Hitagi End, the greatest arc of them all. I was however massively disappointed because Nadeko was lacking the wit of the other narrators. I mean, it makes sense, because she was supposed a dull girl that limited herself, it just dragged on too long.wut Medusa (I think you mean) is easily the second strongest arc in the entire series behind Hitagi End
I think that arc is one of the best examples of an unreliable narrator I can think of
This season has been pretty great so far, although I was a little salty when they spent like the entirety of episode 4(?) walking to Oikura's apartment. But the following episode made up for all that built up suspense and then some. They wrapped the arc up very nicely, too. Although Oikura must have been in one deep state of denial to not notice that her mother was dead all that time...
Also I'm seeing a lot of Nise hate in this thread, what's up with that? Where's my fellow Fire Sisters fans at?![]()

Nise is great, just not for everyone. Also, Fire Sisters aside, the Shinobu bath scene was disturbing.
If that scene featured adult Shinobu, Nisemonogatari would be legendary. lol
And yeah, I can see why they chose that way to present her and I loved how talkative she was, but it remains a fact that she had such a body and she was naked in the bathroom. It was really uncomfortable to watch, even though I love Shinobu's smug personality.
