Hype intensifies.
I'm excited to see what happens during the Templar/Mage war.

40 different colors?
That's a lot of different colored rays.
Edit: god dammit
Pick your colors guys. This time Bioware is so kind to give us more options rather than only blue, red and green.
So many col-
Never mind.
Woow
Much colours
Yep. No way that's not bullshit.
MMOs and (depending on how you want to classify select series) certain fighting games.Any that aren't solely isometric?
I'm going to assume they don't actually mean 40 different end-game endings but rather 40 different resolutions to key plot points, which is part of what I assume they meant in ME3 as well (as in the endings included the possible resolutions to the Krogan issue and the Geth-Quarian quandary). I'm going to guess that the actual end-game 'endings' will be more like 4-5 tops, which the other resolutions impacting them in minor but possibly significant ways. So things in Origins like 'who is ruler of Ferelden?' and 'Who is king of Orzammar?'
Hmmmmm. You won't find 40 endings with only slight degrees of variation between them.
Can Nirolak or other mod update the title and main post with this info?Bioware clarifies about the endings:
Seems fair, and what I expected.
Woot! There's no DLC companions because there are microtransactions and the no-doubt inevitable multiplayer system will have a FIFA/ME3-style gambling unlock system
Yes.
And there's a new system that adapts every armor to each companion style.
Examples on how this works:
And the armor looks different depending on who wears it? Well that sucks...
I kinda like it. Now When I get good armor anyone can wear it can still look like themselves!
Yeah, I really like it too. Nothing more annoying than an armour set that looks absolutely ridiculous on a character. Now that BW are implementing this in Inquisition I ask myself why nobody thought of it sooner.
Because it requires a hell of a lot of asset generation. It means for every piece of armor, you will need up to 13 different variations (9 companions + male/female/dwarf/Qunari variations for the player). So if there are 10 different armor sets, it's the equivalent of making 100+ armor sets for DA:O.Yeah, I really like it too. But that should have been much easier to implement in older games, because nowadays it's more complex. Unless they found a way to automate the process to a certain degree.
7. Other information:
-There will be a jar of bees, which can be used as a combat item which according to Bioware: "You throw it, the jar breaks open, and little bees fly around stinging your opponents."
Man, I can't tell from their website, is this game going to be like the first DA or the 2nd? I loved the 1st, hated the 2nd and it seems this is leaning towards the 2nd again.
Really? Four pages in and I'm the first to do it? Well here it goes.
The series has become increasingly action-based. It's also party-based, with party size of 4.Haven't played any DA - might have tried 2 demo if I recall rightly but never got round to giving it a chance....
Are they turn based or action based? Party based or solo?
"Its like Origins, but bigger and smarter. Inquisitors dont just roam around on foot, carving XP out of endangered mythical creatures or depriving bandits of their disposable wealth. They command armies, spies, and trade networks. With an idle wave of their fingers, they can wipe settlements off the map, blow up dams, excavate ruins for treasures, and even poison water supplies to weaken military outposts - shortly before kicking down the front gate and doing a bit of work force consolidation, care of a dirty great broadsword."
Official Xbox Magazine, Cameron Lee (Producer on Dragon Age: Inquisition)
regarding endings: didn't bioware say the same about mass effect 3?
To be fair, neither Casey Hudson, the one who made that quote, or Mac Walters, the other responsible for the ME3 ending, have anything to do with Dragon Age.They said this:
This is the clarification they made about the endings a while ago:
I'm not only writing about Dragon Age: Inquisition today but I couldn't resist adding this: on Twitter, producer Cameron Lee has revealed that DAI will have "40 major endings with additional variations".
He also said your hero in the game can be any combination of two genders, four races, three classes, nine specialisations and also different voices.
