Codemasters take a second week at the top of the All Formats Chart with ‘Grid 2’ (-52%) despite more than a 50% drop in sales.

The racer is still well ahead of ‘FIFA 13’ (-36%) which holds the No2 for a third week ahead of two of this week’s new releases. Capcom are back in the Top 10 with ‘Remember Me’ new at No3. The new IP is developed by French studio Dontnod Entertainment and just edges out another new comer ‘The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition’ at No4. Bethesda’s new release includes all the downloadable content and expansions breathing more life into a title which first appeared back in Week 45 2011.

Ubisoft slip down a place as ‘Far Cry 3’ (19%) drops to No5 ahead of ‘Dead Island: Riptide’ (-35%) at No6. Square Enix and ‘Tomb Raider’ (-12%) climb from No10 to No7 while Nintendo’s 3DS title ‘Luigi’s Mansion 2’ (-14%) climbs back into the Top 10 at No8. It pushes another Nintendo 3DS title ‘Donkey Kong Country Returns’ (-30%) down to No9. ‘Assassin’s Creed III’ (-37%) drops down from No6 to No10.

I'm amazed by how long Luigi's Mansion 2 has managed to stay in the chart, and near the top end of the chart too.
Granted it was the main Nintendo launch game but doesn't anyone have some information on how Luigi's Mansion 1 did? I'm curious if the sequel's success is because the first game did really well in the UK of if it's just because it's a Mario series game on a Nintendo handheld.

10k not counting digital and without PC? Not super likely, but maybe it barely did. Hardly a feat, mind you.
DKC:R sold definitely (way?) more than each RM sku while still dropping 30%. Even GRID2 dropped 52% while still keeping #1 and even last week it debuted way lower than GRID 1. Do w have an estimate for GRID1's launch to work on?

This was the European shar graph as explained in the Q4 Investor Meeting

In Europe the situation varies by country. This graph compares the hardware market shares in the seven European countries where Nintendo subsidiaries conduct direct sales. This graph shows data during the three-month period of January to March, which I showed in the Financial Results Briefing in April.
Nintendo 3DS had a certain presence in countries such as France, Belgium and Germany, but the sales in the UK, the biggest market in Europe, were lower than what they should have been.

Here's how the situation evolved in the last two months

Here is the data for April. The continual release of much-anticipated titles since March has greatly improved the situation.
Except for the UK and the Netherlands, Nintendo 3DS has become the platform with the largest share for five different countries in Europe. Also, Nintendo 3DS software has a good presence in the hit charts in each of these countries.

You can see from this graph for May that the market share of Nintendo 3DS has further increased. Nintendo 3DS software titles have shown a greater presence on the hit charts in each country.
