With the Olympics in full swing Sega’s ‘London 2012: The Official Video Game’ takes the gold medal for a second successive week at No1 (+88%).

The Top 3 remain unchanged with ‘Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes’ (-15%) still at No2 and ‘Mario & Sonic London 2012 Olympic Games’ (+42%) continuing to occupy its highest ever chart position at No3. The Dark Knight continues his climb with ‘Batman: Arkham Asylum’ (+21%) up to No4. Retailer promotions also see a boost for both ‘The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’ (+42%) climbing from No8 to No5 and ‘Assassins’s Creed: Revelations’ (+54%), which re enters the Top 10 All Formats Chart at No6.

After a four week absence there is also a return to the Top 10 for ‘Battlefield 3’ (+56%) at No8 while last week’s No4 ‘Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier’ (-34%) slips to No9. ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’ (-37%) also drops from No6 to No10. There is a debut for Deep Silver’s ‘Risen 2: Dark Waters’ at No14, which beats its predecessor’s chart position with the original ‘Risen’ debuting at No29 back in week 40 2009.

Well, KH is FINALLY a third party game with a good potential saleswise being released on 3DS. Right now, we could also count Lego Batman 2 as a game doing not bad ( in UK, at least), but surely 3DS needed to have a showing like Kingdom Hearts is having.

It’s a third gold for Sega as ‘London 2012: The Official Video Game’ (-9%) holds on to No1 in the All Formats Chart for a third consecutive week. In another quiet week for new releases with most people on holiday or watching the Olympics on TV, the top four all remain the same. In fact the Top 3 has now remained unchanged for three weeks with ‘Lego Batman 2’ (-20%) at No2 and ‘Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games’ (-9%) at No3. ‘Batman Arkham City’ (-20%) stays at No4 ahead of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ (+13%) which climbs 2 places to No5 (PC version new this week) guaranteeing a super hero/Olympics clean sweep of the Top 5.

This week there's even Mario Tennis Open in top 40, it grew compared to last week seeing the Value Individual Chart. It seems 3DS XL effect is long lasting so far. And suddenly UK Chart seems like all the other Europeans charts, with Mario titles very high XD
