Parts in games that you hate replaying

Zone of the Enders 2: Nephtys AI Fight.

Worst part of the entire series.

I thought this was pretty easy, so it wasn't particularly bad to me. I was more annoyed by the two missions where you're actually graded on your performance (goodbye S rank if you let anyone die, which is harder to avoid than it sounds).

For me, the hedge maze in RE4. People already mentioned these two, but I'll throw in my vote for the swimming in DMC1, along with Act 3 of MGS4.

The stages with mist in Plants Vs Zombies. Seriously, I hate wasting a seed slot for the fan or the stupid lantern that gets eaten five seconds after I place it.

Epic, please never do another vehicle section.
This. Though I somehow got through it playing solo (on insane difficulty), me and a friend of mine basically gave up after a dozen or so attempts at getting through it co-op.

A couple of general hates of mine are boss gauntlets and sections with un-skippable cut scenes.

The End in MGS3. So boring and tedious, especially with the loads in-between areas. I was so happy when I found out the cheats for it.

kids these days.

That was the absolute best part of the entire game.

but for me probably a bunch of parts of Ninja gaiden

ANY kind of boss run. I HATE those.

I actually like the Fade in DA. It was a nice change of pace (plus I do not get easily lost in mazes).

This. Not too hard, but annoying.
I don't know how I always forget this when the topic comes up. Especially shitty during the latter half when the water was filled with explosives.

I don't mind it nearly as much on my first PC playthrough since the awful blur filter can be disabled. It's a bit tedious, but that headache inducing filter was definitely the worst thing about it for me. And I agree, it's a nice change of pace and probably the only inspired moment in the whole story.

Timed stuff where I have to rush against the clock (mostly in action/RPG/platformers).

I got a headache playing through that shit! I also stopped playing because of this crap!

Babel Tower in Xenogears.

Walk... Battle... Walk... Battle... Walk... Jump... Walk... Battle... Walk... Battle... Walk... Jump... Walk... Battle... Walk... Battle... Walk... Jump... "Dammit!"... Start over... Repeat x 100

Except, you know, there's no random encounters in Babel Tower. So that's a little hyperbolic. Still, Babel Tower is one of the worst dungeon designs ever.

Yeah...no.

It was like a massive brick wall was put up in the middle of what was up until then, a game with great pacing. And incidentally, I hope with MGS3 HD, the loads between those areas are removed when fighting The End. It was annoying and broke it up even more.

Dead Space - Shooting the astroids. Not terribly hard, but not fun at all either IMO.

Odd one, but Wanted: Weapons of Fate - One of my favorite low budget titles, but here is a part where you get behind a mounted light machine gun and have to hold the enemies off. Its the only part of the game that you have to do this and it was completely out of place and frustrating.

I'll add another one: Sly Cooper 1 - the minigames and the QTE boss fight. The minigames are required to finish, and they range from painless but pointless to frustrating and poorly designed. They're variety for the sake of variety and they don't add anything to the game, just an annoying diversion from the parts I actually want to play.

The QTE boss fight just sucked, not much else to say about that.

I'm sure there is at least one mission in every Grand Theft Auto after GTA3 that I loathe.

-When I replayed Shenmue II on Xbox after going through the PAL Dreamcast game I did not look forward to fighting the weird white tiger-looking dude again. Cheating fuck.

-The whole PAN key card temperature bull shit in Metal Gear Solid.

-Everything before Shepard becomes a Spectre in Mass Effect.

Haha, I misread that post. I thought he meant the actual end. I was trying to think what was so bad about it.

The End was epic.

I hate replaying the preview events in NFS:HP as well as the sequences where you have to guard something (for instance a bus or medical supplies) in inFamous.

Ocarina of Time: Gerudo Fortress. I don't like stealth missions, too nerve-wracking.

That was my favorite part on my last playthrough.Hitting the Gerudos from far by running sidewards without Z-Targeting,so awesome. And not really violent at all,thankfully-you just somehow knock them out with the arrows (ha, realism).Oh,and I liked the stealth section in Wind Waker, especially because you can skip the most guards anyway.

But back to topic:
Twilight Princess has the intro and the light bug hunt for three times. If they would've cut them,TP would've been second place in my list.

FFXII:Giruvegan and the great crystal right after that. Also the Pharos on the second ascent-the other two were alright, but the second ascent was really boring.

Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon:The first dungeon. The other dungeons are way better.Luckily, there's the fight on the Dragon shortly after that.

Paper Mario TTYD:Fourth chapter,I think, the one with the villagers who turn into pigs.Running to the castle,to the town,to the castle,to the town...

I dislike the stealth fortress section at the beginning of TWW. It was a cool idea the 1st time through, but on replays I just want to get on with it. Just give me my boat, and let me head to the 1st major island, dungeon please!

FFVII - clouds flashback in Kalm... boring...

GT series - the really long license tests. slightly bump a car after the 1:30 mark = buy a new controller.

Any game where you have to control a bs character for longer than 10 minutes... (exception: mgs2. I liked Raiden)

lol, buy a wheel then you wouldn't have anything to throw when you are raging.

Chainsaw will do the job.

The Sandsea in FFXII

I hate desert environments, it never ends, and there are no save points for hours at a time.

This is also the point with the oil factory right? By god that place was awful.

The voodoo boss was indeed a chore.

I really REALLY hated the tank levels from Sly 2 and their needlessly complicated controls.
