A.) This has gone on forever
B.) Often times the National Enquirer is correct on these stories.
C.) Most people know the reputation of the Enquirer anyway so there is a proper context to gauge the truthiness of the story hence most of the "sad if true" comments.
D.) Often the actual "legit" news is bullshit.
E.) What posts on this board are "vital" information? Is it the the Tom Cruise posts, the Batman Begins posts, or the Kanye West posts?

My sister and her girlfriends would watch 'Dirty Dancing' over and over again when we were kids, and I'd pretend to hate it.. but I secretly loved it because of him.

Dammit. It's a bitch to catch early, too. The symptoms are usually so unremarkable.

This sucks.

I heard that for men, the 50s are the danger years. Make it to 60 and you have a shot at being an old man. but apparently 50-60 is the years where it's decided.

I'm going to leave my PS3 folding for HOME 24/7 tomorrow in honor of Swayze. Hope he can pull through but pancreatic cancer....you know.

Fuck cancer.
 
I'm going to remain skeptical until another news source provides reports on it without mentioning they got it from the Inquirer. Because, uh, the Inquirer has been known to lie. Haven't they reported that Liza Minelli has been on her death bed like 85 times? And she's still kicking.

I remember they reported that Gene Wilder only had weeks to live about a decade ago, and yea, still alive.

So, y'know. Grain of salt and all that.
 
I'm a med student and I've seen people die quite quickly from pancreas cancer (like a month after diagnosis). One of the worst cancers one can get.
 
I have a friend that is a PA on the pilot Swayze is working on. They confirmed that aside from the "5 weeks to live" part, it's true. :(
 
Wow @ Jobs surviving pancreatic cancer. The survival rate is pretty freaking low and the cancer is just so vicious because of how hard it is to detect. My father was diagnosed and died 4 weeks later. I really hope that this story is false but if it is true then I wish the best to his family. It all happens so fast that you really don't have time to digest it. I know I didn't.

Nah, I'm pretty much saying it's bullshit, regardless of how much NE has been trying to make themselves more relevant these days.
