PC Drivers for Xbox One controller are out.

So I have a 360 wireless dongle. Can I just use that if I have a wireless Xbox One controller or do I have to attach it via USB or something.

I have no problem admitting that I prefer the 360 bumpers but have gotten used to the new ones. Overall, I prefer the build of the xbox one controller.

What is the 'correct' way?

I have weird ways of holding down triggers/bumpers varying from game to game.

I tend to mix it between two ways. I either lay my index finger down on the bumpers (probably how they intend, or I claw to put my fingertips on the bumper. But my claw is pronounced, so the tips are touching the outer part of the bumper and not the inner part, so the transition from 360 to One was flawless for me.

Good move by MS. This pretty much ensures that the Xbone controller will be the standard for PC controllers again just like the 360 controller before it.

if the xbox one dpad is at least as good as the dual shock 3s then im happy.

In my opinion still not as good as the DS3 or DS4 dpad, but it's definitely better than the 360's POS of a dpad.

How is the Xbone controller vs the 360? Is there a huge improvement and whats improved?

smaller sticks which feel looser, much better clicky dpad, triggers feel like a blend of 360 and ps3, everything else is more or less the same. Pad shape is mostly the same, lighter.

This is huge just because you can plug an XB1 controller in via micro-USB and have it work perfectly with the new drivers. Big improvement over the awful situation with 360 controllers.

Its really tempting to run out to best buy and just go get one with a long-ass USB cable, I'm just done with the 360 pad. I've used it on and off for 8 years and I just want feels new man.

Cool. Will buy one once my 360 controller starts to act up, which probably wont be for several more years, but I'm glad the option is there.

EDIT: Actually, I want more time with the XB1 controller first. Still love the 360 controller and wasn't convinced by the XB1 pad, but only played it for about 20 minutes altogether.

Good news. My X360 pad's cord is starting to fall apart, now I just need to decide whether to buy a DS4 or XOne pad as a replacement.

Hahaha, damn. Was this announced or hinted at before? I just bought a wired 360 controller for PC like two weeks ago. Still, it'll be nice to use my Xbone controllers on PC now, since Xbone has the best D-pad ever.
