PES 2017 - Control Reality

About referees:
'Better', of course, is relative. Maybe not in the case of the bastards in black (and lurid yellow) who police the action, because this time they actually give bookings: a step up from last year, when they treated cards with the bemusement and imposter's logic of a man in Clinton's on Valentine's Day. They still sometimes don't give reds for clear, Roy Keane-style fouls, but it's better.

Passing:
Passing itself is much the same, but now both crosses and clipped, Barca-style through balls are often much flatter, flying and arriving at the same height as the old near post double-tapped cross.

After reading Videogamer's preview, I'm considering this game. Defense and tactics sounds great!

PES was good but the more I played the more annoyances I come across. I hope they tone down the physicality or make it fair. On higher difficulties you get these little shoves and pushes and you lose control of your player when he's touched as he does his stumble animation. Sometimes it's a nightmare in the box s the AI will routinely give your players littles nudges that put them off. The ref never gives any fouls against you either

I await 17 and hope it improves things. They're definitely better than FIFA now

This is one of the things that really puts me off PES 2016, the stumble animation is annoying as it has no variance, it's always the same. The fact you get locked into the animation is poor aswell, regardless of the player.

It's community day for PES today, so hopefully we'll get better and more realistic impressions than the press ones (which all sound like a template half the time), maybe a decent phone cam recording to.

Is there a list of the licenses they are getting this year? I heard they would get the Brazilian first division, but no confirmation.

I think Vitoria are the only Brazilian side thus far that have confirmed they'll be licensed in PES 2017. Most of the licenses should be announced during Gamescom (18-19th Aug).

On a side note, we should be getting quite a few gameplay videos this Thursday from PES days that will have taken place.

Hopefully its not the same as the last few years great game until you play it online, then it becomes as sweat fest, high pressure, players bumping into each other....

They also need to add 2 vs 2 couch coop online and match making needs to be fixed so you don't even up playing vs real Madrid 80% of the time.
