Phantasy Star Online 2 Import |OT2| Item Names in English!

Yeah that's what i ended up doing ._.
Was looking for Shironia Rare Drop Boost to get Saiki

Sadly, I did not get saiki set.
It's still a long journey.

I know the feeling all too well. I'm at 1/3 myself after about 9 runs of it. Friend gets 2/3 after like 2 runs. I'm just feeling fortunate that least the normal version of the boss has an albiet low drop rate.

Honestly, you should just save up casino coins and run with a GGG MPA. The GGG trigger will be available until around mid-August, and players on Reddit and PSO-World seem proactive about planning out MPAs for them. It's basically 12 GGGs with full drop tables for the price of one.

I been doing that.
Been in 3?/4-ish MPAs doing GGG Trigger only got 2 pieces, atleast they're different .-.

You can also add me online if you like, name is InvertedWyvern Ship 2
Also just to make sure, Fo/Te is the class for lazy people rite?

It's finally happened. The latest patch on Vita pushes the total filesize to more than my 16gb Vita memory card can hold (with about 2.5gb tied up with Project DIVA). I can switch to the physical cart for the short term, but I really need to invest in a new card.

yeah...kinda wish there was 32GB card for vita.
But It'll probably never be enough anyways ( " . . )

Welp, onwards to find another GGG party...where to find them beside pso-world forums?

Huh? Vita memory cards exist in 32gb and 64gb capacities.

...ooooh.
I was one of the people that brought 8GB and 16GB and completely arrogant to the existence of more GB cards.
... ( " . . )

EDIT: Looking for costume idea/hair/voice to cosplay as close as Totooria Helmold in PSO2, please help as my creativity is . 3. p

AInt played this game in like, a little over a year.

Just now getting back into it a bit.

This game would be a massive hit if it came to the west on PS4.

I want to play it more, but I dont speak the language, and the english patch can only do so much and plus the lack of a US based community that I can engage in.

PSOW is too clichish and is batshit insane.
Anyhow some bouncer leveling:
www.twitch.tv/shinmaruku

Pretty much every place I've seen for ENG groups gets cliquish and batshit insane, not to mention the witches :E

That said, Ship 2 is where a majority of the English playerbase is at. There are some who jumped over to Ship 10 at some point, I only just came back to the game in June after having not logged in since 3 months out of Beta.

It's not a bad thing either. I just think the game was structured in a way that nobody learns the game properly making end game Multiparties utter shit.

Subscribed. So, guys, started playing again after trying it out when it first came out, on the Vita. Kinda in need of some help so I don't do anything silly. I'm aiming to play as a Katana Braver, Br/Hu. My first two big questions are regarding the skill set and the MAG. How should I go about it? What to pursue first on the skills?

I've read that, for the MAG, ideally I'd be better to just focus on Strike and nothing else. That right?

Thanks in advance, and see you guys in-game. I'm on Ship 2, which I reckon is where most english playing people play!

If your aim is to play Katana and little else, then yes, a pure striking mag would be best. On the Hunter tree go get Fury Stance and Fury Combo Bonus as soon as you can. On Braver, focus on deciding which of the stances you prefer (I use Average).

Here's the base Br and Hu trees to work off of. The most critically important stuff are maxed on these trees so you can fill the rest in with what you'd like. Although heres a few recommendations;
For the Hu tree you could max out the Striking Ups (Note: S-Up3 gives more than S-Up2 which is more than S-Up1) but only really bother to max 3 and 2 if you chose to. Theres also the option of Never Give up + Iron Will. Get the different Weapon gears if you intend on using those weapons, get partisan's regardless because partisan is really good. You could always go for tank stuff if you want to tank for some reason.
You can get whatever you'd like on Br tree really. Just keep in mind Combat Escape only works if Br is set as the main class.

Hu/Br has more S-atk than Br/Hu too, though you'd have to deal with finding Hu equippable katanas. Either combination is fine though. Hatou got a hitbox change so now its a little more awkward to use but it still works mostly fine on taller enemies. Sakuraendo, Kanran, and Gekka (if used in the air) are the katana PA mainstays.

Thanks for the input, guys. And yeah, I'll be using Average Stance too, I'd rather have a trustworthy bonus all the time than a slightly bigger one that's 'situational'.

Im trying to do a order for JEAN and he tells me to go to the AC shop................I have no idea what or where that is. I thought I visited all the shops on the first and second floor in the shopping district, but apparently I haven't.

AC Shop is a menu option. It's the one above the Scratches.

Just to add to this. Average Stance is basically the katana focus stance, where Weak Stance is for bow's since they'll be able to aim at bosses weak points easier with TPS mode. Plus a lot of katana's in the 10 star and 11 star range have potentials that end up boosting Average Stance.

On the other hand, if you were playing some other class, Techer / Force / Ranger , I'd say go weak stance in a heart beat and enjoy.

Not just that, alot of regular enemies have a weak point only accessible with ranged weapons (usually their head).

Got myself up to Level 32 (my sub is like 15 atm) and I'm still quite enjoying it, much more so than when I tried it the first time around. I feel like there's a bigger variety of COs so I'm never reall bored and there's always /something/ to help out on the leveling, lol.

Been following the Br/Hu tree put up here before and it's been working wonders, though god knows I need to get used to Katana Combat. Flying all around when trying to attack can make it a bit hard to time the attacks and just overall keep track of what's happening, lol.

Also, meant to ask, is there a good database for the items in English? And while we're at it, regarding items, is there any sort of recommendation for weapons/parts? Like, there's a ton of katanas out there from what I've seen, but are there any that would work well for when one's starting, to grind, while searching for the top stuff? And same for the units/parts.

Thanks in advance!

Cirnopedia is really the only English item site out there.. and this is a huge but though.. BUT.. it's pretty much abandoned at this point. Updates don't really come much anymore, and the last few ones came extremely late compared to the speed the content is being released. So, for anything up to date, you're going to want to get familiar with the JP Wiki.

For your level, it's probably not worth hunting down anything specific, it'll do you more good to get your weapon to +10 and max out the elemental attribute. Along with getting your armor to +10 will go along ways. Most people will suggest +10'ing Hiei armor at this point since it's likely one of the better early sets and you should be able to equip it at your level. +10 it as suggested and it'll hold you over until VH and when you should be looking to upgrade to something with better defensive values. Plus the Hiei stuff should be cheap on the player shops.

As an alternative, you can get the hiei set for completing the Episode 3-1 matter board stuff. And there is a decent ten star katana with solid affixes on... I think 2-5? The Kenei. It also drops like candy from Magatsu later on so there's that too. But that's still a bit away. So focus on your hiei set or something similar for the time being due how easy you should find it.

Man, I am really loving this game. It seems like they added a lot to improve on what I remembered from PS Universe on xbox.

One of my favorite additions is the third person shooter camera view. I hated playing a shooter class in Universe, but in Online 2, shooter classes are my favorite.

Such great gameplay. Even in Japanese, some stuff I was able to understand, but that crafting though......................HHHHEEELLLLAAAA confused as to what the fuck im doing.

I also love the fact that I have have AI roll with me on quest that I find too difficult to do solo. Being able to bring in another players character and have the AI control them, man, such an awesome idea. Dragons Dogma had a similar idea with their pawns system.

I wish more games would do this.

But yo, the general gate area, the people chatting there, WOW.

The damage that Katana Finish does is based on number of hits you've done while it's active. This means that it's best to activate combat when you have alot of PP and are surrounded by enemies, at which point just start spamming kanran to rack up hits. Or if you're fighting a boss start spamming Hatou to rack up hits. And make sure to JA your katana finish. Only really use normal hits if you need to recover PP while the timer is still going.

As far as a weapon upgrade path goes, Try getting your hands on スサノグレン (Susano Guren) or 剣影 (Kenei). They should last you until SH or so. At which point you'd likely want to upgrade to something better like スケイスズミ (Sukei Suzumi) or ヤシャ (Yasha) if you're lucky enough. The endgame Katanas are 禍刀ラクカ (Evil Rakuka) and Ares Katana (Anga 13star). Theres some alternative options in between but they vary in availability and it'll be unlikely to find them without just buying them off player shops. Generally you want to unlock the latent to at least level 1. If you have spare funds go all the way. Once you reach SH make sure you're always latent level 3 and +10.

For Units get the Hiei set as soon as possible. It'll give you +60 to all attacks and 10pp for its set bonus. You'll want to affix S-atk affixes onto it. Try to get at least +60 s-atk on each piece to start. You can easily accomplish this through an S-atk Soul (I recommend Quartz since it gives +3pp) and Power 3. Eventually you'll want to upgrade to Saiki which is a drop off of Shironia's boss and is the current best set in the game. Look up some guides on how the affixing system works if you need help.

Oho, once again, thanks for the input, guys. I haven't gotten my hands on the Hatou disk yet, so I've been using Kanran for the time being when bossing. Will look into the katana and units, too, and try to work my way up to have enough meseta to also buy that Koume mag cell, because even if it's mostly cosmetic, I think it looks too damn cute and I need to have it as my MAG.

Guess it's time to buy some AC to not be dirty poor, lol.

Sakura-Endo is better for bossing and general single target damage. Combined with the Snatch JA step skill it lets you pump out damage since you can use it to skip the long attack end animation. Hatou ought to drop at the end of TD missions so make sure to check those out.

Hooray for the pso2 tweaker program. It'll make my ability to play this that much quicker. I'm in the process of patching all the english language packs, and then I gotta register account, log in and start my adventure. I'll be sure to be playing on what is it, ship 2 or whatever it's called?

My love for the first PSO on dreamcast was great, and coupled with my near total lack of desire to play games, hopefully PSO 2 will relight my game playing fires and all that jazz. So I hope to see active gaf players soon.

Jumped back to the game after a few months of not playing and was really surprised by the amount of announcements and all the "check this out" markers.
I think I might play some more during the weekend.

Registering an account for PSO 2 was a pain in the fucking ass due to the captcha being in japanese...but I defeated it! It only took about 30 minutes of guessing letters...but it's done. That's my biggest accomplishment for the day.

I never seen monsters fight each other o.o.

Let alone damage one another.

That shit is the best. Its like you're playing the game, and then suddenly, "HOLD ON TO YOUR SHIT!! KAIJU BATTLE RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW!!!" The best part is once one goes down, you'll have an easier time of taking out the other since the other monster has softened up the winner a bit though these battles can last for what seems forever since they both have absurd amounts of HP to whittle down.

Don't forget to read through the friend invite stuff in the OP. It still applies today. The stuff you can get from it is largely cosmetic, but it's still a nice bonus for playing the game.

Oh I made sure to read the OP thoroughly. If I didn't I would completely and totally lost. On the subject of inviting friends, I don't have any friends that would really be interested in playing PSO 2 and all the extra steps necessary to register, and apply the english translation patches even though the tweaking tool makes it super simple. Even if I could convince one or two of them to try it, I would most likely have to deal with their bitching and moaning about something no doubt.

I can't say my time so far with the game has been smooth. I'm still dealing with pretty frequent crashes out of nowhere, but I'm doing everything I can to mitigate them. Its a pain, but I like the combat and wanna keep playing. I just wish Sega would stop continuously stalling and just release the English version already.

Edit: My biggest goal right now is staying logged on for more than 15 minutes and get an invite to the Neogaf team on 02. I whispered someone online via the friends codes listed, but of course not a minute after sending the message, my game crashed.

Edit 2: Character name: Whiskeydiver Playername: WhiskeydiverGAF or WhiskeydiverGaf. Not very imaginative, but I like to use a single name for most things.

Does the GAF team even exist anymore?
As for the crashes, maybe checking PSO-World would help you, they have more active players than this thread, so that means more people with problems too. Maybe someone was in a situation similar to yours and was able to fix the problem.

By the friend invite system, I mean you could use the info in the OP to set up rewards for yourself. It's free stuff, but only if you put in someone's info before you make your first character.

Are most people playing on Vita? Is there an English option/patch or are people just winging it? I have the U.S. Patcher for the pc version, I was jw.

There's no patch for the Vita to my knowledge and most people are probably playing the superior PC version (bigger areas, more enemies etc.).

;; I don't know. I had fun for the bit that I played, just jumping around a lot and haven't come back to PSO because of entry barriers.

finally able to play this game again after way too long. had been trying as hard as I could to play but ran into issue after issue. first it was that isp thing and me not really having a computer I could use at all times since it wasn't mine, then it was the vita oled screen dying, then it was waiting for windows 10 to finally not get blocked by gameguard.

I kinda feel like i'm super behind on stuff since I last played. I see i'm still out of luck with my mag. was hoping something would have fixed it haha. why can't it just evolve.....

So I've started playing the English South East Asia version (apparently there is no longer a need for a VPN to get around the block for the US). Feels great to play PSO2 in English without a patch or VPN...any tips for beginners? I just finished the prologue mission.
