If Mike Vrabel gets held by The Freak and still makes a diving touchdown catch, which was the only offensive play he was in on, and Freddie Mitchell can only get one catch out of all the plays he was in on, then... Freddie Mitchell SUCKS.
HAha, I think Vrabel has 5 catches in his career and 5 for TDs. The same number that Mitchell has in his career and Vrabel is a LB. :lol

So Freddie may be a knucklehead with no sense of when to shut up, but he is completely justified in calling this thing "blown out of proportion", because it clearly was.
Amen. People were just looking for something to talk about. Mitchell was obviously joking around in the interview.

And "FredEx" is one of the funniest phrases in sports recently.

Everything he said about the pats is true. If you watched when he said "i have something for you" he was clearly joking. They are a bunch of punks on and off the field. Supposedly they did the eagle during the superbowl parade, real classy. Im sure he didnt appreciate this from the "classy" Bill Belicheck either. Oh but the pats dont get involved in those type of things.

I could say this is just the rantings of a bitter Philly fan, but you'd still be 100% on point. It's the reason why I hate the Patriots...they potray themselves to be a bunch of choir boys that never say anything and act the right way, yet talk shit and stir up shit all the time. Hell, they did more TO dances on Sunday then TO himself. :lol Not to mention this pissy ass "oh boohoo you don't respect me" act that was tired as fuck when they let a fucking kicker hurt their poor little feelings. This from the same people who say they don't care if they're respected or not...whatever. I much prefer guys like TO or Moss who are up front with their abrasive ways over this sorry ass group of hypocrites.

Someone needs to anhiliate this squad next year, and good.

Having said that, Freddie Mitchell is the one of the biggest dumb fucks in all of sport. :lol No doubt they blew his initial shit way out of proportion (anyone with an IQ ove 12 could see he was kidding), but you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em.

WOW, THAT'S WHAT I WANT OUT OF A FIRST ROUND PICK -- A BAD RECEIVER, BUT LOTS OF HUSTLE!

So because a team fucked up using a first round pick on someone they should've picked in the sixth, that's his fault? Get a clue...teams do make mistakes in drafting sometimes.

The Patriots doing the bird wasn't as much tasteless as it was completely unoriginal and cheesy, Hines did it first and better. And it also made more sense when he did it because it was the week after TO mocked Ray Ray and everyone was just dying to know what he had for the Steelers. But, you didn't see the entire Steeler team doing it after Hines while they pounded the Eagles. You have the Pats all copying one another during a game decided by 3 points, forgive me for not being impressed. And they were mocking a guy that was carving the piss out of their defense on one leg....at least the Steelers kept him in check.

Thank you...glad someone had their eyes open.

i want mitchell of the team as well.

pats won..they were/are the better team. no excuses but while i dont agree with mitchell i hate how the media did and continues to portray the pats as this team that would never be cheap, mock, players, or call anyone out. ty law goes on some show b4 the superbowl and claims the only way the eagles have a shot is if the pats dont show up.....well enough...i can take some smack but no this doesnt get blown out of proportion? why not? all we still hear is how they are the professional team not resortting to anything considered cheap, smack, or anything. i honestly dont care if they do it but when ty law, who wasnt even playing, says shit like that and gets no flack then TO when he was hurt shouldnt either when he predicted we would make the superbowl, which was considered as a diss to the vikings. this isnt about backing it up...cause i know the pats back it up...this is about the media portraying the same smack talk 2 diff ways.

Again, on point...and gee what a surprise, the media being full of shit in their coverage??? That's new. :lol

Eagles fans are pretty stupid sometimes. Go ahead and trade him. You guys have so many great receivers, they can stand to lose one that hustles like Fred. :rollies: The guys is entertaining. He's not producing, but at the same time, only TO has been. Before that, the Eagles receiving core was an embarassment with or without Freddie Mitchell. You want to trade him? Fine. He'll entertain fans elsewhere. It's not like he lost them the Superbowl or anything. And it's not like you can't say that McNabb zones in on TO. All the receivers play second-fiddle to TO. Without him, Freddie would be getting more balls...assuming McNabb's accurate that game. Cut this guy some slack. Maybe get over yet another disappointing loss and look to the areas they can improve.

BTW, wasn't Freddie Mitchell wide open a few times during that game? And didn't he blow some guy up on that big catch TO had? Yeah...go ahead and trade him retards. He'd probably be a good fit in Atlanta since he's shown an ability to get open during a scramble. Then he can trash talk the shit out of the Eagles and then back it up all over their choker asses next year. PEACE.

Did I say it was mCACGj's fault? Nope. I was mocking his "defense" (if you can call it that) of Freddie Mitchell. It's the Eagles that are at fault for drafting this disaster. Teams make mistakes and they get called for it. Big deal. Get a clue... Freddie Mitchell is a huge bust.

You referring to that pick that wasn't called? Patriots get all the calls!

I'm just saying that you're making out like it's Mitchell's fault, when the Eagles are the ones who fucked up. HAHAHA OMG HE'S ONLY CAUGHT FIVE TD'S AND HE'S A FIRST ROUND PICK, WHAT A JOKE!!!...who gives a shit.

Just that the Warriors make this mistake a little too often (it's starting to be a conspiracy).

Let's start from 2002 (2003/ 2004, not too many people they could've got with their respective picks)...
2002 - they got Mike Dunleavy (3rd pick - holy shit does this guy suck ass!). They could've got Amare Stoudemire (who went 9th).
2001 - Jason Richardson (5th pick- I actually liked this pick, he is a very good player right now).
2000 - they didn't even have a first round pick :lol :lol
1999 - Jeff Foster (21st pick- who the fuck?!?!?! Coulda got Andrei Kirilenko)
1998 - Vince Carter (5th pick) WHY DID WE TRADE HIM! God.
1997 - Adonal Foyle (8th pick) 9th pick was T-Mac.... :\
1996 - Todd Fuller (WHAT THE FUCK!) 11th pick... Coming up later in the draft? Kobe, Steve Nash, Jermaine O'Neal, Stojakovic.... GOD DAMNIT.

AND THE WORST YEAR EVER?!?!?!!
1995 - Joe Smith (1st Pick)......... We even had Kevin Garnett come to practice with us, I saw the tape of this back in the day, he jumped up and was touching the top of the backboard (yeah... coming out of high school). Others from this year? Antonio McDyess, Jerry Stackhouse, Rasheed Wallace (LOL these guys all came before K.G.)

Man Warriors suck. I love the team, but every choice they make is fucking horrible. Sorry had to get this off my chest. :lol :lol

Shut up..haha, I said I was wrong, and admitted how stupid my "defense" was. No need to rub it in. :)

Hey if they make it the SB's in Detroit. Maybe they'll be shanked, shot, melee'd or otherwise murdered.

Hey if people who've never been withing miles of my city can popoff old-as-HELL jokes, I'll be damned if I can't.

you all lose. the 49ers traded 2 #1 picks to move up and acquire JJ stokes in the 1995 draft. do you know who those 2 #1 picks became? eric moulds and ray lewis. what did JJ stokes ever do for the niners? i'm not sure but i would rather have freddie mitchell on my team than jj stokes. i actually wouldn't mind mitchell on the niners now, but we have too many young and developing wr's, there's no room for freddie

Wow, that sucks. I never knew they had to trade picks to get J.J. He was always horrible.
I remember this one play, where surprisingly Jeff Garcia threw the ball for more then 30 yards, and J.J. caught it deep. T.O. was 15 yards behind J.J, caught up to him (while J.J. was running full speed) and gave him a huge block. J.J. then got tackled by a D.B. the guy was the slowest mofo on earth. He sucked.

i remember the year JJ got drafted (i think it was) the Redskins were debating between him and Michael Westbrook. WHo knew we would have been fucked either way?

You can do far worse in the 1st round than Freddie Mitchell. He is a good possesion reciever because he rarely drops a pass and can take a hit. The problem is, even when Freddie is open, Mcnabb either cant find him or throws a bad ball at him. They have no chemistry together.

Whatever. You can't do much worse than Freddie Mitchell in the first round unless your name is Ryan Leaf or Heath Shuler.

:lol :lol :lol Hey, I know the feeling...the Raptors have yet to have a second round draft pick stick on the club in the ten year history of the franchise. And these days, that's the least of our troubles. :lol

Uh... the people who drafted him and wanted a decent receiver, without having TO crybaby his way into their arms. Listen, I live near Detroit and have been a Lions fan my whole life. If there's anything that is more frustrating in the history of the Earth than a first round pick, touted as being all the shit, coming into the league and sucking total ASS, then i'd love to see it. I don't think such a thing exists.

Dude, you joke but that shit is for real, man. They haven't released any stats recently, but from Jan 04 - July 04, close to 500 people were fucking shot! Reporters are gonna learn fast to stay near the Joe, the Casinos, or to stay the fuck out of Detroit and not fly in til Saturday night.

If they wanted to draft a decent receiver, why did they draft him? :lol They're the ones who bought into the hype...don't blame him for that.

no matter who your team is, the majority if your first round picks over the past 15-20 years have been busts. i think the baltimore ravens have the most successful track record recently of first round picks. if i remember they have drafted ray lewis, ed reed, jonathan ogden, jamal lewis, chris mccalister, and some other greats in the first round over the past 7 or 8 years. but they have also drafted kyle boller...

this isnt about eagles fans wanting him out just cause of the superbowl. he made some plays against the vikings....he made that 4rth and 26 catch. and i know mcnabb locks in on TO and only TO at times....but still in much less limited time greg lewis has shown to be just as good or even better at times. and freddie has mentioned here and there how he wants to be more productive and he doesnt think it can be at philly so i wouldnt mind seeing him somewhere else.

They drafted Ray Lewis and Jonathon Ogden in the first round THE SAME YEAR.

The same one.

Two of the best players EVER at their positions, and the Ravens got them both in the same round.

Plus, they did get Terrell Suggs the same year they got Kyle Boller. So it wasn't a complete waste.
